An enticing, two-storey barn conversion, this gorgeous holiday home is ideal for a family or group of friends wishing to immerse themselves in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales. Situated on the fringes of Carperby, 15 miles from Richmond, it offers scenic walks and cycle rides from its front door. Stroll out to Aysgarth Falls, on the River Ure, 0.5 miles from the barn, and take the children to the Forbidden Corner with its labyrinth of tunnels and chambers, 8.5 miles away. Plan a day trip to Richmond, with its impressive castle and many independent shops, boutiques and galleries. Dine out while you are here and stroll 1 mile out of town, alongside the River Swale, to the ruins of Easby Abbey.
Make your way into the barn via the hall and head straight through to the kitchen/diner to unpack the fresh Yorkshire produce you have bought and start preparing the next meal in this modern space. Dine in here together then spend the rest of your evening through in the lounge, with the wood burner crackling on autumn and winter evenings and a film perhaps on the TV or DVD. Also downstairs, is a utility room, plus a separate WC and access to the garage, where you can store your bikes securely. Head upstairs to find the three bedrooms. One of these, with an en-suite shower room, is a king-size, while the others have zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as king-sizes or twins depending on your requirements. These two rooms have some limited head-height to one side of the bed. All the bedrooms have TVs and there is a family bathroom.
Soak up the serenity in the pretty garden, with its small lawn and patio, on warm days. Carry breakfast or lunch out here too when the weather is fine.
