Set within a scenic rural location, just 1 mile from the historic village of Threshfield and within the Yorkshire Dales, this beautiful barn conversion with pretty stone façade makes an excellent base. Ideal for those who wish to enjoy the spectacular Yorkshire countryside – return to a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring the local area. The property is just a mile outside the pretty village of Threshfield in the Yorkshire Dales. Perfectly placed for outdoor adventures, the location boasts a number of popular walking routes and the village itself plays host to “The Avenue”, a small rugby union stadium that’s home to Wharfdale RUFC. After spending some time in the great outdoors, retire to The Old Hall Inn for a local ale and a hearty meal.

Inside the property you’ll discover a number of traditional features, beamed ceilings, sneck doors and there’s also a large multi-fuelled stove with large stone surround that makes a lovely centrepiece for the lounge which is an inviting area to spend time in. The spacious dining room also features beams and a smaller fireplace. In the kitchen you’ll discover an additional eating area around the kitchen peninsula and there’s a large range-style cooker too, making this a great social space for meal preparation and entertaining. The cottage is in an ideal location. Fantastic views at any time of day as the gardens were sun traps. The cottage is comfy and ideally suited if you have dog with appropriate furnishings. The large utility area was a ideal for drying of dogs and storing wet gear. Just need to be careful when travelling up the lane with a fully loaded car but this Read morewas included in the cottage description and was really useful. The information supplied by the owner was really clear and useful in preparation for our arrival. Hide

Well equipped and spacious cottage in an amazing location. Great for walks and for local dining. It is on a very bumpy farm track.

Beautiful house and setting exactly as described, lots of great walks straight out of the front door. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was a lovely warm roaring fire for those chillier evenings. The kitchen was well stocked with useful utensils which made making a few home cooked meals a possibility (although there were plenty of locRead moreal pubs and restaurants not too far a drive away).
