The centre of Pateley Bridge is just moments away, with a range of interesting shops and pubs. Enjoy exploring quaint alleyways and yards and browse the quirky shops or walk alongside the River Nidd which runs behind the cottage. Visit the natural spectacle of the National Trusts Brimham Rocks, with its giant rock formations, while Fountains Abbey showcases the ruins of the medieval abbey, surrounded by 18th century landscaped gardens. Visit the nearby cathedral city of Ripon where you can visit Ripon Spa Baths and the adjacent spa gardens. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with over 680 miles square miles of rolling countryside, scenic dales and charming villages to be discovered, while the spa town of Harrogate is around a 30-minute drive away.

Once you’ve parked up on the sweeping gravel driveway, head through the front door and explore your surroundings, the property offers several areas to kick back and relax in, including a lounge with a wood burner and a grand piano, the perfect spot for chilly winter evenings in front of the TV (with Apple TV). Head through to the kitchen/diner which is perfect for big family meals with everything you need from electric Rangemaster oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Through to the utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. In the dining area the large table can seat everyone, making it a wonderfully sociable room ideal for celebrations and gatherings. An additional comfortable seating area, excellent for younger guests who might want to play a board game. Open the double doors which leads out to the decked terrace and enjoy breakfast. Completing the ground floor is a separate WC. Head up to the first floor where you will find four spacious bedrooms where you can ensure that the whole party get a restful night’s sleep. Choose from a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request) with en-suite shower room and WC, a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin with 2’6” singles on request), and finally two doubles. A great layout for families, particularly those with small children. Also, on this floor is the bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

The wonderful enclosed landscaped garden which wraps around the cottage is a truly tranquil space to unwind and enjoy, with several seating areas accessed from the kitchen and lounge. It’s perfect for families of all ages to dine alfresco with the charcoal BBQ. Should you need to escape for some well-deserved peace, sit beneath the arbour and enjoy a glass of wine as you take in the fabulous countryside. There is off-road parking for four to six cars.
