This is a beautiful holiday home which is spacious and comfortable and was a pleasure to stay in. The decor is well thought out and it was a great house to cook a meal for the family. Yes, it is a bit remote but that is clear from the information on the website, and we enjoyed being away from it allRead more . The owners do live next door though so you are not alone. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby or you can enjoy the spacious garden space. The only quibble I would have is that the dining rooms chairs are stained and I would like the bedroom to be darker. Overall a very enjoyable stay which I would recommend highly.

Response from Gorgeous Cottages:

Hi Lilian, thank you for completing a review and for your feedback. We are pleased that you had an enjoyable stay and that you would highly recommend Agra Cottage. There is a blackout blind on the Velux window with a pole for ease of reach, which you may have missed. The cream chair covers are regularly cleaned but are planned to be replaced at the end of the season to ensure we keep our highest standards. We do hope that you will visit again soon as we would love to welcome you back to Yorkshire. Take care, Maureen. Hide

Response from Gorgeous Cottages:

Hi Jane Thank you for taking the time to send in your review and your constructive comments are appreciated. I have spoken to the owner who will replace the first aid box ( this must have been removed) as soon as possible. Being a converted barn with exposed roof timbers, beams, internal feature stone walls and flooring the owner does accept that dust and an occasional cobwebs may slip through. The Owners have recently given the property a full overhaul, do pay a significant attention to cleanliness and are thankful for the feedback and have consequently conducted a full review and deep clean. All bedrooms are apportioned with a window and a Velux rooflight which when both opened provides a good level of ventilation As the owners are neighbours to the property you may notice they do come and go occasionally but are they very aware of guests privacy at all times. There are kennels outside for the use of the guests dogs, however the owners dogs do sleep inside. We agree the location is amazing and do hope you come back to Gorgeous Cottages to book your next holiday in Yorkshire. Hide
