This bright and spacious property provides the perfect base for families and couples to relax and enjoy some quality time together.

A lavish retreat for families and friendship groups, this impressive property is studded within the charming village of Newport, East Yorkshire. Sleeping 11 guests across five bedrooms, this abode is sleek and stylish yet delightfully homely with underfloor heating and plenty of cosy nooks to curl up and rest as well as an array of entertainment options.

The kitchen provides an alchemy of contemporary convenience and quintessential charm, blending top-of-the-range appliances with effortlessly chic units and ample worktop space for whipping up culinary masterpieces. Your locally sourced produce will be transformed into feasts thanks to the electric double oven and hob, and you’ll also have a microwave, dishwasher and an American-style fridge/freezer at your disposal. For caffeine enthusiasts, the coffee machine is a welcome addition for your first coffee of the day or an afternoon pick-me-up. Take a seat at the breakfast bar for light snacks or uncork a bottle of good wine and light candles for a more glamorous mealtime in the lounge/diner.

Prepare to unwind and head through to the lounge/diner to find a comfortable hub that’s perfectly suited to spending quality time together watching your favourite films or just enjoying a good catch up over a hot drink and a few tempting treats. Snuggle down in the deep sofas and make the most of some relaxation time. There’s a TV, lots of cosy seating and two dining tables for special mealtimes and board games.

Natural light pours in through the bi-fold doors that run the width of the second lounge area and games room, offering a view of the spacious garden. This delightful space is perfect for using your last dregs of energy before retiring for the night, whether you are tempted by the gym equipment provided for your sole use, or prefer a casual evening playing pool. There are snug sofas to curl up on, and if you step outside you’ll be able to stargaze with ease. Along from here, you’ll also find a handy utility room and a shower room, these will certainly come in useful after a countryside adventure.

Seek sanctuary upstairs on the first floor at bedtime, choosing from five elegant bedrooms that have been beautifully finished to provide a restful retreat at the end of a busy day. Two have their own en-suite shower rooms, but all share the decadent bathroom that’s also on this level. Pampering sessions are a must in the roll-top bath, best enjoyed with a glass of something fizzy, and a few lavish toiletries. There’s a shower too if you prefer an invigorating start to the day.

Summer afternoons call for BBQ suppers and cocktails in the garden whilst the children enjoy garden games, or perhaps you would prefer to kick back and recharge your batteries with a cheeky snooze. The nearest pub is 1 mile away for the nights you don’t feel like cooking, and there is ample off-road parking available.

Hull is a treasure trove of amusements, 19.5 miles away, with its inspiring art galleries, museums and guided walking tours. Follow the Blue Plaque Trail to learn about the city’s rich heritage, channel your inner Houdini with a visit to the brilliant Escape Rooms, and treat yourself to an afternoon crating and sampling the finest gin at the local distillery. For young visitors, The Deep is not to be missed with its striking architecture and spectacular position at the point where Hull meets the River Humber. Inside, there are over 5,000 animals and 300 species to discover.

The iconic Humber Bridge is a sight to behold as you approach, it is one of the world’s longest single-span suspension bridges and a masterpiece of engineering. Cross the bridge into Lincolnshire and discover the historic streets of Barton-upon-Humber (15.5 miles), a bustling town lined with Georgian properties and liberally scattered with attractions. Thornton Abbey (22 miles) invites you to take a step back in time through its imposing gatehouse, or why not spend the afternoon wandering through the Water’s Edge Country Park and Visitors Centre (16.5 miles).

The beautiful market town of Beverley, 16.5 miles away, is one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets, and its stunning 13th-century Beverley Minster is often regarded as one of Europe’s finest Gothic churches. Take a look at the town’s medieval architecture before indulging in a spot of shopping around its lively cobbled squares. Finish off with a drink in one of the traditional Yorkshire pubs where time has stood still for decades.

And beyond the town, get to know the gorgeous Yorkshire Wolds, a range of low rolling hills rising from the River Humber and sweeping along to the stunning cliffs at Flamborough Head. The gentle nature of the countryside here makes it an excellent location for walking and cycling.

Fantastic house with no expense spared. Fully equipped kitchen had us cooking breakfast and evening meals. The flow of the downstairs was brilliant for our group of 10 adults (2 families). Opening the lounge double doors into the kitchen and games room, gave us lots of space. Similarly we could shut the lounge doors and enjoy a film in the evening,Read more whilst people played pool and board games in the other seating area. Beverley (30 min drive) excellent shopping opportunity, with a foodie market Hide

Really clean, lovely place to stay for 12 of us (9 adults and 3 children plus 2 dogs). Good location with walking distance to shops, pub and kids playground with plenty to do, a short drive away. It was really nice to arrive to a bowl of sweets and bottle of wine in the fridge. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.
