Renovated in 2020, this Grade II Listed cottage is perfectly placed in rural North Yorkshire in the picturesque village of Normanby. There are walks straight from the village so you can go off and explore the wonderful Yorkshire countryside with all it has to offer. Why not pop into the village pub and reward yourselves with a refreshing drink and hearty meal. The seaside towns of Whitby and Filey make excellent days out, as do the quaint coastal villages of Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The pretty village of Thornton-Le-Dale, home to quaint shops and a meandering river lies just over three miles away. If you want to venture a little further, drive just seven miles to reach the ancient woodland of Dalby Forest.

Upon entering this cosy cottage, you will instantly feel at home and relaxed. The owners have gone to detail to create a romantic atmosphere while you are here. In the lounge is a sofa set across from the electric wood burner and a Smart TV, which is all you need to kick back and relax after a day out in the Yorkshire countryside. Next we have the stylish kitchen which has all you need to create a magical meal for two with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer (no washing machine supplied). On the first floor the bedroom is one of luxury and comfort with a king-size bed in a beautiful frame and the room still retains some lovely features such as the exposed wooden flooring. There is also a shower room with shower and WC which is ideal after trekking around this wonderful region.

Outside is a joy to behold with a sofa seating area with table and parasol to relax on whilst dinner is cooking on the BBQ. Or better still relax in your own private hot tub. There is on street parking at the front of the property.

With a varied landscape of windswept dales, heather-clad moors and dramatic coast, interspersed with picturesque towns and villages, vibrant cities and a rich historical heritage, Yorkshire is rightly considered one of Britain's premier holiday destinations. Known as 'God's Own County', Yorkshire has nearly one-third of England's National Parkland, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and three sections of coastline designated as Heritage Coast.

Offering infinite opportunities for lovers of the great outdoors, the wild expanse of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in North and West Yorkshire is a glorious mix of awe-inspiring scenery, imposing castles, characterful Dales' villages and drystone walls. While to the east, the North York Moors National Park offers atmospheric moorland, fragrant pine forests and charming towns tucked away within steep-sloped valleys. Extending all the way to the Yorkshire Coast, you can even experience a traditional day at the seaside at popular resorts including Whitby, Flamborough and Scarborough. It's a beautiful terrain to explore.

A visit to the historical city of York is a must. Renowned for its medieval architecture, the magnificent York Minster and a myriad of museums, independent shops and exceptional eateries, you will not be disappointed. Then there's the chalk landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, known to have inspired David Hockney. And with a packed calendar of events and festivals each year, including the Malton Food Festival, the Tour de Yorkshire and the Great Yorkshire Show, there's always something exciting to enjoy.

Our holiday cottages in Yorkshire are handpicked to ensure a luxurious and uniquely memorable experience. From dog-friendly cottages in the country to large family houses by the sea and romantic retreats in the city, we have a holiday in Yorkshire to suit everyone.
