Butterfly was presented stylishly and an effort has been made to create a comfortable ambience. However, it was very much a case of 'style over substance' as there was not a comfortable chair or sofa to sit in. There was an arm chair and a sofa but they were most uncomfortable indeed. The bath was verRead morey small indeed and my husband who is over 6 feet tall had a hard job to fit in the bath and there is no separate shower - only a shower attachment. The bedside light was broken and we reported that on the day after we arrived. We don't know if someone came to look at it or not as we had no feedback about our report. There was no battery in the clock in the main room which is a minor detail to amend but one which was overlooked. The cottage is very dark - hence the amount of lights and lamps everywhere and this was a little depressing. The view was lovely and there is a lot to do in the area. eg Turkish Baths at Harrogate, Fountain Abbey and so on.We did leave a feedback form so I don't know why you need this online report also.

Response from Gorgeous Cottages:

Hi Andrea. Thank you for your constructive feedback, this is very much appreciated and was forwarded to the owner. The owner has confirmed that the issues reported have now been rectified. The owner apologies for the broken reading light and hopes that traditional bedside light was sufficient for you. The furniture in the property is stylish, firm & comfortable, however we do appreciate comfort is personal to each guest. The property is advertised as having a bath with a shower attachment. The property has been designed to maximise the space whilst keeping its character. We do agree the area is fabulous with so much to do. Leaving a review on Reevoo is completely voluntary and a link is sent to all guests after a stay at one of our Gorgeous Cottages should they wish a more public review.
