This fabulous five-bedroom luxury holiday home is set in the pretty North Yorkshire village of Catterick. With its spacious elegant interiors and large garden with terrace it's the perfect house for those special get-togethers with family or friends. And it's just a few miles from the historic Georgian market town of Richmond (5.5 miles). What's not to love? Completely restored, has this holiday accommodation has that elusive mix of luxury and comfort. With all the modern conveniences you would expect in a large luxury holiday home, it manages to retain a warm home from home appeal.

 

At the heart of the home is the generous sitting room here two large comfortable sofas centre around the wood burner. It's a peaceful relaxed room, just the place to catch up with family or friends with a glass of something good. For your evening entertainment there's a wall-mounted TV complete with subscription channels. Next door you'll find the gorgeous open-plan kitchen and dining area. The family-sized kitchen comes complete with all mod cons including an American-style fridge-freezer (handy for those bottles of fizz!), dishwasher, two ceramic  hobs, a double oven and a microwave. It's a pleasure to cook and entertain in here, with on-line music subscriptions services providing the soundtrack. A utility room alongside, complete with wine chiller fridge and houses the washing machine, tumble dryer and further sink. There's also a handy downstairs WC. The kitchen leads on to the bright and airy dining area / garden room. With its unusual octagonal shape, the floor to ceiling windows in here afford uninterrupted views of the beautiful garden. A large oak dining table sits by the window offering an atmospheric place to dine day or night. Underfloor heating provides an extra little luxury and if you want to catch up on the news over breakfast there's a TV.

 

If you have kids or teenagers in your group you'll be delighted to discover the games room; just the thing to give everyone a chance to enjoy games console, table football and lots of traditional board games to try. There are five spacious bedrooms in this luxury holiday home, two of which are set on ground level (good to know if there are some within your party with mobility issues). The first bedroom sits opposite the family bathroom and has a super-king-size bed which can also be configured as two singles if preferred. The second ground floor bedroom features a king-size metal bed, shuttered windows and an en-suite wet room.

 

The family bathroom boasts handsome Travertine-style flooring and comes complete with a large walk in wet room and shower (suitable for wheelchair access). Indulge with a well-deserved long hot soak after a busy days sightseeing. Make your way upstairs to discover the three remaining bedrooms. The star of the show is the stunning master bedroom with its wow-factor diamond window. Enjoy views across the garden and to the village beyond from the comfort of your king-size bed. This room also enjoys an en-suite wet room. Bedroom four features another super-king bed which can also be set up as two singles if preferred. This time there's an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower overhead, handy if you have little ones you need to bathe. The final bedroom is a very sweet twin room with two full-size single beds. The twin has a further en-suite wet room with WC.

 

Lots to enjoy outside this wonderful property too with its huge garden lawn complete with a terraced area for dining. Lunch al fresco is a pleasure here, with lovely views of the garden from the elevated terrace. Outdoor furniture and a large sun parasol is provided to keep you cool. There's also a gas BBQ with an outdoor work surface to prep food so you can make the most of those balmy summer evenings. Sheer bliss.

Keen cyclists have full use of a large garage for secure storage of bicycles. The house is located close to the recent Tour De Yorkshire and Tour de France routes so you can follow in their cycle tracks.

Set in Catterick, with its lovely village green, this charming holiday property is also situated a few miles from the historic Georgian market town of Richmond. Set between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, and with less than an hour's drive to the coast and York, it's an ideal basecamp from which to strike out and discover these unique Yorkshire locations.

If you love leaving the car in the drive on holiday the village offers a couple of pubs, a local shop, and a fish and chip shop. There's also a chemist and a garage if you need any emergency supplies. And if you're a bit of a foodie there are several excellent gastropubs in the area. The cottage is just a few miles away from the pretty market town of Northallerton where handsome Georgian houses line the long main street. It is also home to a very good sample of restaurants, cafes, and independent shops. Richmond is a historic market town with much to offer the discerning holiday-maker, is also just a few miles away. Explore the cobbled market square or head up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. Just a short drive through Richmond takes you into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales proper. Head up towards Reeth and on towards Hawes in Wensleydale for a true taste of this magnificent countryside. Pop into the Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes and sample some of this famous Yorkshire cheese.

There's also lots of great attractions within easy reach of the cottage including Catterick Racecourse just half a mile away. With lots of meetings throughout the year it's a great day out. Thorp Perrow Arboretum is also nearby where you can explore 100s of acres of gorgeous gardens and woodland.

We went with family to celebrate our wedding anniversary and couldnt have had a better place to do it. A fantastic cottage that was so welcoming with everything you could ask for . The owner was so kind and thoughtful and was easily contactable if needed. Great location for many places.Would definitely go back and didnt want to leave .

Wonderful property. Weve stayed in many and this one of the best. Everyone from 4 to 72 loved it. Jan took such care, remembered our special occasion and decorated the house accordingly. This property is gorgeous, the decor and furnishings are very stylish and the layout of the house is great for a large group. We really appreciated the welcome basket, a great start to our weekend stay and very thoughtfully put together by the owner. Cherry Tree House is a beautifully appointed and equipped property. It is both homely and luxurious. We were a party of 10 (age range 2yrs to 87yrs) and there was space for us all to be together and also to find quiet time. The garden was perfect for all sorts of games (large,flat and safe).
