Pretty Yorkshire stone cottage perfectly situated to explore both Harrogate, York and the surrounding Yorkshire Dales. Ideal for couples and families who are looking for a special stay.

This home is brimming with style and charm which beautifully complements its fantastic location. Perfectly suited for small families, escape to this fantastic corner of the country for quality time with special people. Sitting less than 2 miles from the vibrant spa town of Harrogate, those needing a pamper are in the right place. A handful of quaint tea rooms serving traditional Yorkshire tea and cake are well worth a visit before you head out onto the nearby moors for an adventure. Back at home, relax in style and put your feet up in one of many cosy corners. Brilliant outdoor space means you can make the most of summer evenings and stay breathing in the fresh air until dusk arrives. Throughout your stay, indulge in the welcome pack left for you to devour and make use of the tasty goodies in yummy picnics.

Step inside via the side entrance where you are welcomed by the open-plan kitchen/diner. This space boasts a warming farmhouse feel with its wooden features and calming colour scheme; the French doors allow natural light to flood inside and a calming breeze to flow through the room. An island means extra workspace, so all hands on deck can make light work of meal preparation. It’s also a good spot for a snack and a comforting cup of tea or coffee. Find the welcome hamper here and tuck in straight away to the delicious treats left for all to enjoy. A handy utility area is perfect for washing those holiday outfits and making sure towels are fluffed up ready for use each day.

Having cooked up a storm in the kitchen, plate up at the dining table and eat with family and loved ones. Discuss plans for tomorrow, the next adventure and places to tick off from your list of holiday locations and enjoy quality time spent chatting together. If the weather is warm, fire up the BBQ outside in the beautiful garden and savour every last second of sunlight in this lawned rear space as you dine alfresco.

Comfort is key in the lounge where comfortable sofas and chairs invite you to put your feet up and curl up with a book. The wood burner promises to keep you warm throughout your stay, so get it fired up and switch on the TV for relaxing evenings in. For the competitive amongst you, grab a board game and challenge fellow guests to a night of games – making sure you keep a tally so you can announce the games master at the end of your stay!

As bedtime arrives, take heavy heads upstairs to the first floor where you will find two smart bedrooms. Decorated in calming tones, settle down for a peaceful night’s sleep and wake feeling ready for the day ahead. Start your day right with a soothing soak in the luxurious roll top bath in the fabulous family bathroom or freshen up with a quick rinse off in the shower.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate less than 2 miles from your door and is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK, making it the perfect place to spend time throughout your holiday. The truly gorgeous Yorkshire town combines traditional elegance with contemporary style effortlessly and the Duchy suburb is well known as being one of the most desirable postcodes in town.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter, so creative guests will love wandering around seeking out treasures. If buying old paintings and furniture isn't your bag, there are a host of other reasons to part with your cash in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Betty's Tearooms is a must and if you have time, we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Rejuvenate spirit and soul after a day on the town. If you're travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor spaces with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere. The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr (2 miles from home) are also a fantastic option for families.

This bolthole is very close to the Yorkshire Dales (8.5 miles from the outskirts) and 32 miles from the North Yorkshire Moors so makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. We highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley (17 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 21.5 miles away. York is within easy reach (22.5 miles) and a day trip to this beautiful medieval city is well worth it.

With a varied landscape of windswept dales, heather-clad moors and dramatic coast, interspersed with picturesque towns and villages, vibrant cities and a rich historical heritage, Yorkshire is rightly considered one of Britain's premier holiday destinations. Known as 'God's Own County', Yorkshire has nearly one-third of England's National Parkland, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and three sections of coastline designated as Heritage Coast.

Offering infinite opportunities for lovers of the great outdoors, the wild expanse of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in North and West Yorkshire is a glorious mix of awe-inspiring scenery, imposing castles, characterful Dales' villages and drystone walls. While to the east, the North York Moors National Park offers atmospheric moorland, fragrant pine forests and charming towns tucked away within steep-sloped valleys. Extending all the way to the Yorkshire Coast, you can even experience a traditional day at the seaside at popular resorts including Whitby, Flamborough and Scarborough. It's a beautiful terrain to explore.

A visit to the historical city of York is a must. Renowned for its medieval architecture, the magnificent York Minster and a myriad of museums, independent shops and exceptional eateries, you will not be disappointed. Then there's the chalk landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, known to have inspired David Hockney. And with a packed calendar of events and festivals each year, including the Malton Food Festival, the Tour de Yorkshire and the Great Yorkshire Show, there's always something exciting to enjoy.

Our holiday cottages in Yorkshire are handpicked to ensure a luxurious and uniquely memorable experience. From dog-friendly cottages in the country to large family houses by the sea and romantic retreats in the city, we have a holiday in Yorkshire to suit everyone.
