Croft House was a lovely place to spend Christmas week with our two adult children and their partners. It was roomy enough that we didn't feel on top of each other. It was a fairly mild week but the cottage was cosily warm even on the coldest day. The large real Christmas tree helped the Christmassy feel.

Would have liked a t.v. in the snug and bedrooms. Windows wouldn't open but apart from that the cottage was comfortable, warm and cosy.

Response from Gorgeous Cottages:

Hi Carol, thank you for your review, we do appreciate it. The cottage is comfortable, warm and cosy as you so rightly say. The majority of our Gorgeous Guests do like to get away from it all and are happy that a cottage dating back to the 17th century, although having all modern conveniences, doesnt have TVs in every room so that you can enjoy getting away from it all. The windows were painted during the summer but should open and maybe just a little stiff. The owner is going to check this out for future guests, thank you for pointing this out. Yorkshire has so much to offer, we do hope that you visit again soon. Take care, Maureen.

We enjoyed another stay at Croft Cottage, lovely accommodation and setting. It wasnt as pristine this time, oven and the windows in front of the bird tables could have been cleaner. Also in front garden the dogs managed to get through under the hedge into the house next door, so would be helpful to Read morehave more secure fencing. But otherwise had a lovely holiday and booked again for next year

Response from Gorgeous Cottages:

Hi Kath Thank you for your review and we are delighted you have booked to stay at Croft Cottage in 2019. It must be very gorgeous indeed.. The bird feeders are topped up every week which allows guests to watch the different species of birds in delight through the window. Sometimes those little birdies do tend to make a little bit of a mess which is unavoidable and unfortunately this year has been especially wet which can also contribute to this . The garden is densely hedged so although secure, if a doggie is determined to find an escape route I am afraid they will.Yorkshire is a fabulous place and look forward to your next visit.Take CareMarion Hide
