Set in a stunning North Yorkshire dale, this breath-taking holiday home offers relaxing, light and spacious accommodation and is a fabulous setting for a large family or group of friends to celebrate.
"Perched on a hill above the peaceful hamlet of Low Mill in the North York Moors National Park, this stone cottage is the perfect place for family holidays/reunions. With its breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, you will find it easy to relax, soak up the tranquillity and enjoy quality time with loved ones. There are lots of walking and cycling trails to choose from on your doorstep, so you can get different perspectives on the varied and dramatic landscape within the National Park. And when you return to the house at the end of a busy day, you can choose where and how to recuperate, whether it be soaking in a bubble-filled roll-top bath or sinking into the comfy sofas in front of the wood burner. Market towns and picturesque villages are plentiful near here, so it’s easy to find a pub, cafe or tearoom to quench your thirst or satisfy your hunger.
As you approach the cottage, you will appreciate how its stone exterior blends comfortably into the Yorkshire countryside, looking quaint, yet rugged. It is clearly steeped in history, as demonstrated by the many original features throughout the property, such as exposed stone walls, vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. However, it has been lovingly renovated and restored to create a light, modern home with lots of space and mod-cons.
You enter the house through a stable door into a hall/utility room which offers a handy place to discard muddy boots and coats, leaving them to dry so they’re ready for the next day’s adventures. Adjacent to this room is the long, high-ceilinged kitchen/diner which has a stunning, stone feature-wall and tasteful, country cottage-style units. The contemporary lighting brings light and warmth to the room making it the perfect setting for cooking, eating and socialising.
The lounge is also light, bright and airy, with a continuation of the neutral tones creating a simple elegance. There are sofas to sink into, a wood burner to snuggle up in front of and a TV to entertain you. Also on the ground floor, you will find one of the bedrooms. It’s a delightful, double room with an en-suite bathroom that will take your breath away. The free-standing roll-top bath and the large shower cubicle in the centre of the room are beautifully complemented by the attractive panelling and tiled floor to create a feeling of luxury.
On the first floor, there are three further bedrooms: a double, a twin and a bunk bedroom. All of them are decorated with calming neutral tones to ensure everyone sleeps well. There is also a contemporary, family bathroom on this floor with a shower over the bath. All bedrooms and bathrooms offer views or glimpses of the rural setting.
Outside, there is a large, enclosed garden perfect for family games or the seating on the patio area provides somewhere to sit back and soak up the surroundings with a coffee or tipple of your choice. There is off-road parking for two cars."
