Nestled in the heart of The Yorkshire Dales, with views over some of Yorkshire’s most impressive countryside, this detached farmhouse provides a rural retreat for families to make lasting memories.
Immerse yourselves in the enchanting Yorkshire Dales National Park when you stay at this exceptional, stone holiday home, with glorious, far-reaching views. Sleeping up to ten people, the beautiful, former farmhouse in the quiet hamlet of Braidley, 11.5 miles from Aysgarth, offers a total of five bedrooms across its main building and annexe, and looks out over verdant fields and wooded hills.
Perfect for two or three families eager to escape together, or for a group of friends, the impressive property could also suit keen walkers and cyclists as there are some fabulous, scenic footpaths and routes to follow right from the front door. Nestled in the heart of picturesque Coverdale, the farmhouse is also well located for reaching beauty spots, such as Scar House Reservoir in Nidderdale, just 4 miles away, or Aysgarth Falls, 11 miles away.
Wander into the enticing holiday home to find immaculate accommodation that blends the past and the present seamlessly. Stone floors and timber beams are offset by gleaming white walls, interesting artwork and splashes of colour in the furniture and furnishings. The reception hall, with its wood burner, is immediately welcoming and to its left is a boot room where you can keep your outdoor clothing, and which leads to a WC.
The inviting kitchen/diner, with its wooden central island and range-style cooker, is next. This is the perfect place to prepare hearty home-cooked meals for your hungry party and to dine together at the table. Find chairs in here too where you can relax for a moment with your book. There is also a handy, adjoining utility room. Wander on through to the inviting lounge to stoke up the open fire, play games and chat together, or on into the snug next to it, where you can settle down to a film on the Smart TV or open the French windows onto the garden to bring the outside in.
Head upstairs to the first floor to find a king-size bedroom with a beautiful dressing room and a capacious en-suite bathroom with a shower and freestanding bath. A family bathroom and two twins are also at this level.
Make your way into the barn annexe to find another twin bedroom and a double, plus a bathroom, all on the top floor, and a kitchenette, plus another lovely lounge, with a wood burner, downstairs.
Spill out into the garden on sunny days. Sizzle supper on the BBQ as you absorb the views and watch the children play on the grass. You’ll find parking for six cars at the house, plus storage for bicycles.
