A luxury retreat, perfect for couples and families alike, the perfect base for exploring all that Yorkshire has to offer with York to the West and Hull to the South, and the coast to the East.

This wonderful home in the tranquil Yorkshire village of Lund is the ideal rural retreat for families or couples. Whether you prefer to explore on foot or by bike, this area boasts a wealth of trails and routes on your doorstep and beyond. The village itself has a great pub across the road, so you don't need to cook, but should you need supplies you can head to thriving market town Beverley (7.5 miles). Further afield, the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies to the north, the Yorkshire coast to the east and the city of Hull to the south with a range of museums, galleries, shops and eateries. It is one of two properties at this location.

Sympathetically renovated, this property effortlessly blends contemporary cottage decor with original features to create a charming home full of character. High ceilings and light walls make it feel bright and airy throughout, making it the perfect place to relax and spend quality time together.

Enter this semi-detached property into the spacious dining room, which is at the heart of the home. With whitewashed exposed beams, exposed stone walls and wooden floors, natural materials take centre stage - whilst traditional soft furnishings and furniture add comfort and class. Doors lead from the dining room into the lounge where double doors allow light to flood in. Of an evening, this is a great place to sink into a sofa in front of the roaring wood burner and plan the next day's adventure. Also leading off the dining room is the galley-style kitchen, which has been finished to a high standard and is equipped with everything you'll need to cook up snacks and meals.

Heading up the stairs, you will find the two king-size rooms (one of which can be made up as a twin on request). Both rooms have high ceilings, light walls and a neutral palette to create a calming atmosphere. Completing the accommodation is a modern, tiled bathroom, with a shower over the bath.

Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with dining furniture and a small lawn. It is a lovely spot for a morning coffee or a spot of al fresco dining of an evening. There is off-road parking for one car, and additional roadside parking in the village, subject to availability. There is also lockable bike storage available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The beautiful market town of Beverley is one of Yorkshire''s best-kept secrets with its stunning 13th-century Beverley Minster often regarded as one of Europe''s finest Gothic churches. Take a look at the town''s medieval architecture before indulging in a spot of shopping around its lively cobbled squares. Finish off with a drink in one of the traditional Yorkshire pubs where time has stood still for decades.

And beyond the town, get to know the gorgeous Yorkshire Wolds, a range of low rolling hills rising from the River Humber and sweeping along to the stunning cliffs of the Yorkshire Coast at Flamborough Head (25 miles). The gentle nature of the countryside here makes it an excellent location for walking and cycling.

The Wolds are also home to many historical homes and religious sites as well as one of Yorkshire's largest lavender gardens. And for kids, there are heaps of fantastic attractions nearby (indoor and out) including The Deep in Hull (17.5 miles). The North York Moors National Park is also within 35 miles and makes for a great day out.

The jewel in North Yorkshire's crown, York, is a favourite amongst visitors and is definitely worth the 28-mile drive. This ancient walled city has been the north's spiritual capital for 2,000 years, but that's not to say it is stuck in the past; York's affluent population and its influx of tourist pounds has helped to create a cultural and commercial oasis. History seeps out of every cobbled street, but the crooked old buildings house a fantastic range of contemporary designer shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Make sure you take in York Minster, The Shambles, the Railway Museum, the Jorvik Viking Centre and Betty's tea room whilst you're there.

The cottage is immaculate. So beautifully decorated and the cleanest we have ever stayed in. They have thought of all the things you may need, even for the dogs. I would wholeheartedly recommend.

The property was a beautiful cottage that had been newly refurbished. It had lovely character and charm with quite a few modern features inside. The garden was a great asset to the property as it was a really good size, and a long well established garden. The village itself is quaint, small, fairly quiet with a great pub that we can highly recommenRead mored. There were many lanes out of the village that we used to walk our dog. We met the owner Sue who was very friendly and helpful. A great stay Hide
