A warm and homely ground floor apartment conveniently placed in the heart of Harrogate. An excellent hideaway for all your adventures in and around Yorkshire. A truly comfortable stay awaits.

Nestled in a leafy suburb, a few streets away from Harrogate’s attractive town centre, this beautifully-presented ground floor apartment is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. A bustling spa town, Harrogate has plenty on offer, including independent shops, a range of eateries and lots of green space to stretch your legs, such as the English Heritage Grade II-listed Valley Gardens and the Stray, which is 200 acres of horseshoe-shaped grassland. Conveniently located between Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, guests can explore the stunning Yorkshire countryside and other nearby market towns. The surrounding area is perfect for keen walkers and cyclists with a wealth of trails and routes on offer. For something more urban, larger cities Leeds and York are also within 20 miles. In the summer, there are lots of outdoor events to enjoy including concerts in the gardens every weekend. Or you could time a visit with the Great Yorkshire Show – it is a massive platform for farmers and local craft-makers to showcase their way of life and their produce on a grand-scale.

From the private driveway, a few steps lead up to the pretty exterior of this apartment. On entering, you will be impressed by the eclectic, yet effortlessly stylish, mix of rich wooden tones, large pieces of artwork and bold patterns. The parquet flooring throughout is stunning and brings an elegance to the property, as does the high ceilings and large, bay window. Light walls and ceilings bring a brightness to the space, whilst providing the perfect backdrop for large design statements.

The open-plan living area is flooded with light and has wonderful views of the garden. The kitchen is contemporary and well-equipped, allowing you to cook up some romantic meals for two. You can dine at the breakfast bar or in the less formal lounge area. Here, you will find a sofa, two tub chairs and a TV, so plenty of space for everyone to relax of an evening.

The double bedroom is equally as stylish. The neutral tones highlight the richness of the floor and the unique pieces of furniture in the room, which includes a full-length mirror, a chair and a chest of drawers. The en-suite shower room is clean and modern.

Outside, there is a large, private garden for guests to enjoy – the perfect place to read a book, have a morning coffee or soak up the evening sun.

The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK. The truly gorgeous Yorkshire town combines traditional elegance with contemporary style effortlessly. And the Duchy suburb is well known as being one of the most desirable postcodes in town

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter. If buying old paintings and furniture isn't your bag there are a host of other reasons to part with your cash in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Betty's Tearooms is a must and if you have time, we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Rejuvenate spirit and soul after a day on the town. If you're travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor space with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere. The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr are 1.5 miles away and offer wonderful surroundings to stroll around.

Harrogate is also very close to the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors so makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. The breathtaking Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is approximately 10 miles west and heading south-west you will be driving through some of the most dramatic Dales scenery. We highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley (16.5 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 17 miles away. York is within easy reach (22 miles) and a day-trip to this beautiful medieval city is well worth it.

With a varied landscape of windswept dales, heather-clad moors and dramatic coast, interspersed with picturesque towns and villages, vibrant cities and a rich historical heritage, Yorkshire is rightly considered one of Britain's premier holiday destinations. Known as 'God's Own County', Yorkshire has nearly one-third of England's National Parkland, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and three sections of coastline designated as Heritage Coast.

Offering infinite opportunities for lovers of the great outdoors, the wild expanse of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in North and West Yorkshire is a glorious mix of awe-inspiring scenery, imposing castles, characterful Dales' villages and drystone walls. While to the east, the North York Moors National Park offers atmospheric moorland, fragrant pine forests and charming towns tucked away within steep-sloped valleys. Extending all the way to the Yorkshire Coast, you can even experience a traditional day at the seaside at popular resorts including Whitby, Flamborough and Scarborough. It's a beautiful terrain to explore.

A visit to the historical city of York is a must. Renowned for its medieval architecture, the magnificent York Minster and a myriad of museums, independent shops and exceptional eateries, you will not be disappointed. Then there's the chalk landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, known to have inspired David Hockney. And with a packed calendar of events and festivals each year, including the Malton Food Festival, the Tour de Yorkshire and the Great Yorkshire Show, there's always something exciting to enjoy.

Our holiday cottages in Yorkshire are handpicked to ensure a luxurious and uniquely memorable experience. From dog-friendly cottages in the country to large family houses by the sea and romantic retreats in the city, we have a holiday in Yorkshire to suit everyone.
