Welcome to this charming two-bedroom stone cottage set in a pretty little village between the historic market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle. Its chocolate-box exterior leads to an immaculate cosy interior, just perfect for couples and families alike. And those who enjoy walking or cycling can do so from the doorstep. You can also enjoy gorgeous views of the peaceful countryside setting too.

Step inside to find an open-plan living space home to the living room and dining area. At the heart of the room is a wood burner, ready and waiting for you each evening after a day's walking or sightseeing. Light the fire and settle down on one of two comfy sofas: it's time to relax. For your evening entertainment you'll find a Freeview TV with DVD Player and a good selection of DVDs. Wi-Fi is provided as well as a choice of games and books for offline fun.

This room leads into the kitchen at the rear of the cottage. Featuring pale grey shaker-style units you'll find everything you'll need to rustle up dinner. All the normal mod cons are provided including a dishwasher, fridge with ice-box and a downstairs toilet and washroom.

One of the things we love about this cottage is the serving hatch from the kitchen through into the living room. It's one of those little quirky touches that give the cottage its cosy appeal.

The dining table sits in the main living area, a lovely spot for eating whatever the time of day and there's plenty of room for up to four people. Pick up your ingredients at the award-winning farm shop and deli, around 3.5 miles away, and settle down to a feast of Yorkshire's finest produce.

There are two bedrooms in this pretty cottage, the first of which can be found downstairs. This sweet twin room comes complete with two full size single beds. Make your way upstairs to find the beautiful master bedroom boasting a king-size bed. Double aspect windows here afford stunning countryside views of rolling fields to the east and across the village church to distant fells to the west.

The family bathroom is also upstairs and sits opposite the master bedroom. There's a fabulous free-standing bath to sink into each evening, and a walk-in shower for the morning.

Outside the cottage you'll find a compact lawned garden to the front surrounded by a stone wall. To the rear is a decked area with a bistro table and chairs which looks out across the fields; the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee with the sun on your face.

This property is set in the picturesque and peaceful village of Hutton Magna surrounded by open countryside. It is a relaxing and calming spot to hide away or explore by walking, cycling or driving. Situated in a great location set at the northern tip of the Yorkshire Dales, between the historic market towns of Barnard Castle (7 miles) and Richmond (10 miles). There are also several walking and cycling routes nearby so there’s no need to jump in the car.

Barnard Castle is a historic market town taking its name from the castle around which it grew. Featured in the Guardian's 10 of the UK's best small towns in 2016, it hosts the Bowes Museum (6 miles), nearby Eggleston Gardens, just over 12 miles away, and a host of shops selling antiques, designer clothes, jewellery, accessories, vintage and retro items and local crafts.

Richmond sits on the River Swale with impressive waterfalls just a few hundred metres from the cobbled town square. It is home to the famous Station (food, film and art under one roof), the Georgian Theatre as well as Richmond Castle. From Richmond, head up towards Reeth and on towards Hawes in Wensleydale for a true taste of this magnificent countryside. Stop for lunch before heading back to the comfort of your luxury Yorkshire cottage.

The possibilities for walking and cycling from this cottage are endless with a good selection of maps and route suggestions provided by the owners, themselves keen walkers. From the front door, you can follow scenic footpaths to explore local villages and pubs around the Rivers Tees and Greta or catch a clear night for some amazing stargazing. Drive for approximately 20 miles to explore Swaledale and Teesdale, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Teesdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty including the Pennine Way and High Force, the largest waterfall in England.

The country roads surrounding the property are popular with cyclists: National Cycle Network route 165 passes within one mile of the village.

Within 50 miles are the Yorkshire coast and the historic cathedral cities of York and Durham (38 miles). Further south, you'll find the pretty market town of Northallerton, 25 miles, where handsome Georgian houses line the long main street. There are some wonderful tearooms here as well as a fantastic local deli, and of course the quintessentially Yorkshire department store of Barkers.

To take in the North York Moors head further south still and brave it up Sutton Bank, the view from the top said by some to be the finest in all of England. The gorgeous market town of Helmsley makes for the perfect pit-stop.

Comfortable cosy stay. Kitchen equipment could have been a little better but overall it was good. Confy beds, and good WiFi ( essential forchildren!). The negatives were a little more attention to cleaning (quite a few cobwebs) needed and although there is an enclosed front garden, the back space is not enclosed or secure which needs better highligRead morehting as dogs can access the road from here and there was no warning.
