This charming and quirky ground-floor apartment enjoys a peaceful position in the pretty village of Buckden and is the perfect base for a couple to explore the Yorkshire Dales.

Set in heart of the Dales, in the spectacular scenery of Upper Wharfdale, this wonderful apartment provides fun and quirky accommodation. With an abundance of walks and cycle routes straight from the doorstep, it is the perfect base for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Take a stroll beside the River Wharfe along the Dales Way or, for those who enjoy more of a challenge, conquer the popular Buckden Pike. There are many other picturesque villages within easy reach, including Kettlewell and Hubberholme, each with even more stunning scenery and charming inns from which to enjoy a drink. Grassington, famed for its summer festival and Dickensian Christmas celebrations, is just a short drive away, as are the popular Aysgarth Falls.

Stepping into this charming property, you are welcomed by an entrance hall, perfect for leaving coats and muddy boots after a day of exploring. Relax in the open-plan lounge/diner/sleeping area. In the lounge area, unwind on the sofa and enjoy a good book or watch your favourite programme on the TV. In the dining area, enjoy some homemade food at the dining table where, on a nice day, you can open up the double doors and take in the beautiful rolling hills that surround you. In the sleeping area, there is a king-size bed where you can look forward to waking up to beautiful countryside views. Moving through to the cosy kitchen area, there is an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Completing the apartment is a quaint shower room with a shower and WC.

Externally, the property has an enclosed garden with an unfenced pond and traditional dry-stone walling, typical of the Dales. There is also a large balcony off the living space with elevated views over the stunning surroundings. It is the perfect spot to sit of an evening, enjoy a BBQ and glass of wine and take in this magical apartment. Guests also have access to a shared laundry room in the owners' adjoining property with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Roadside parking is available or in the pub car park 10 metres away (both subject to availability).

Quirky and fun. Owners made you very welcome with a few treats that made a difference to the start of the holiday. A beautiful part of the world would definitely go back.
