Resting in a pretty village on the outskirts of York, this cottage is perfectly positioned to explore the picture-postcard landscapes of the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and the coast.

Situated in a perfect part of Yorkshire, the cottage enjoys all the benefits of a traditional village, including a pretty village green, a mini-market, and traditional pubs serving food. York is 5 miles away and is famous for its heritage and museums, such as the National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre and the iconic Minster. Snaking through the centre of York is The Shambles, a narrow, cobbled, medieval shopping street. Alternatively, travel 18 miles to the town of Harrogate where you can spend a day indulging in some relaxation at the spa, browse the shops or visit a tearoom for afternoon tea.

This beautiful barn is elegantly decorated, with an eclectic mix of furnishings and original features including beams and exposed brick walls. Once you enter through the entrance porch, you will discover a downstairs cloakroom with a shower enclosure and WC. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wealth of facilities, including an eye-level electric oven, induction hob, a microwave, a fridge with a freezer compartment and a dishwasher. Enjoy your homecooked meal around the farmhouse table and plan your next day out. The lounge is designed to be homely with comfortable seating and a Smart TV – sit back and pick a movie to watch. When sleep calls, head upstairs to bed, to the spacious bedroom with low, sloping ceilings, original beams and a super-king-size bed. Start the morning refreshed in the en-suite shower room, with a large shower enclosure and WC.
