This property is an exceptional five-star one-bedroom luxury cottage set in a charming North York Moors village. With a stylish country-chic interior and local village pub, it is an idyllic Yorkshire retreat for couples and small families alike.

As soon as you walk through the door you can sense the quality of the interior furnishings and fixtures, the place has been lovingly crafted into a comfortable and elegant holiday home. From the flagstone flooring to the wood burner in the corner, everything has been designed to create a warm and peaceful ambience. Brightly coloured fabrics contrast beautifully with the natural hue of the stone walls. The open-plan kitchen/dining area is a great space to relax in, allowing you to chat to your loved one whilst cooking up a storm. There is also a shared laundry room on site with a washing machine.

In the living room you'll find an LCD TV and, of course, that cosy wood burner to curl up in front of. A DVD player and Wi-Fi are provided too.

The hallway leads through to the spacious master bedroom equipped with a super king-size bed. There are lovely views out to the patio area from here. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower - perfect if you prefer not to climb over the bath for your morning shower.

Outside, there's a charming patio garden complete with table and chairs. It's a delightful spot to enjoy breakfast in the warmer months and, if the mood takes you, you could venture out of the cottage into the village for a pub lunch.

Please note there is no charging facility for electric cars. Nearest points are Monks Cross and York.

This beautiful property is in an enviable location. Sitting on the edge of Gillamoor, an attractive North York Moors village, it’s 2 miles south to the pretty town of Kirbymoorside and then you can travel onto vibrant and attractive Yorkshire market towns like Pickering (10 miles) and Helmsley (8 miles); both of which have an abundance of good restaurants, tea-rooms and independent shops.

Beyond the village lies the North York Moors. A landscape like no other, it's a place of gentle rolling hills of heather, ancient woodlands and lazy rivers winding through lush green valleys. If you want to get away from it all take a trip to the top of the high central moorlands. The famous Blakey Ridge affords some breathtaking views and is just 8 miles drive from the cottage. If walking is your thing, you are surrounded on all sides by some truly stunning routes.

This holiday home is close to the North Yorkshire Coast, with the gothic town of Whitby (24 miles) and the picture-postcard fisherman village of Robin Hood's Bay (28 miles) a drive away. Take a day trip here and experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Yorkshire's coastline.

Hutton-le-Hole, quite possibly the most beautiful village in the North York Moors, is just 3 miles away and you're also close to Castle Howard (15 miles) and York (27 miles), so lots of choice for day trips.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage which is very well equipped. Nice welcome pack for humans and dogs which went down well. It was nice to stay somewhere where we didn't have to drive far for lovely walks and excellent country pubs. Plenty of good shops in the local towns and villages, would definitely go back.

Perfect for us and our 2 dogs. Super king bed and power shower was a big plus. Host very accommodating for our arrival as our dog is on special diet. Good walks nearby and lanes safe to walk as very quiet. Pub short walk up road where we had 2 good meals. The courtyard garden was a lovely sun trap. Our old dogs were happy to mooch around but a veryRead more small dog could possibly squeeze through bars of gate. We would happily come back, thank you. Hide
