Grade II listed stone farmhouse and adjoining stables set in the charming market town of Masham within the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, perfectly situated for exploring the picture-postcard area.

Enjoy a relaxing break in this beautiful Grade II listed stone farmhouse and adjoining stables, set just off the market square in Masham. The house has been decorated with a comfortable and elegant touch, without losing any of the charms of the original building. The property can sleep up to 14 people comfortably and a further two guests can be accommodated on roll-away beds.

Inside the main house, you'll find stone floors, exposed wooden beams, roaring fires and many more charming features which give the property its character. The accommodation is set over three floors. Downstairs, there are two generously sized reception rooms, a formal sitting room with an open fire and a family room with SkyTV, PlayStation and a cosy wood burner. The large farmhouse-style kitchen and dining area is also a lovely place to relax with friends and family. A downstairs WC is available for your convenience.

There are four charming bedrooms upstairs. One super king-size room, a double and a twin with the stunning master bedroom in the loft. The master bedroom comes complete with a king-size bed, wooden beams, an extra single day-bed and an en-suite with a bath. The twin bedroom also has an en-suite shower room and there is a further family bathroom with a shower over the bath giving you three bathrooms in total in the main property.

Across a pretty walled garden to the rear of the house, you'll find The Stable Block property. Inside, there is a cottage-style kitchen, dining and lounge area complete with Sky TV and an X-Box. The lounge also features French doors leading out to the patio.

There is a bright and airy downstairs en-suite (shower) bedroom which also enjoys access to the garden via French doors. On sunny days the sunshine pours through the window onto the bed. Upstairs, a further two bedrooms (a king-size and a twin) are joined by a further shower room.

Both buildings are within a few yards of one another and a baby monitor will reach from the bedroom in The Stable Block to the main house. The garden is fully fenced, so perfect for little ones to run around in, and it catches the sun in the warmer months.

The cottage has a fantastic location, within a 5-minute walk to the town square. Masham is a handsome Yorkshire market town where elegant Georgian townhouses gather around a market square. With its picture-postcard good looks, quaint tearooms and country pubs, you could happily spend your entire holiday here. Masham also boasts two breweries (Black Sheep and Theakstons), a chocolate shop that counts Daniel Craig as a fan and a Michelin-star restaurant.

Beyond Masham, you have the exquisite joy of the Yorkshire Dales. Part of the enduring appeal here is the surprisingly varied landscape; you'll find lush green valleys, meandering meadows, dramatic moorlands, magnificent mountains, rocky crags and exquisite wilderness, all peppered with charming villages and cosy inns welcoming you back to civilisation.

Nidderdale, known as the civilised corner of the Dales, provides the perfect setting for a relaxed countryside jaunt, 10 miles away. Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it's makeup of broad green meadows and gently rolling hills are a serene introduction to the wilder, more remote dales to the north. Nidderdale is also home to the magnificent Fountains Abbey, a World Heritage Site just outside Ripon.

Amazing cottage in a beautiful location! Highly recommend black sheep brewery, just for how lovely the bar is. The house and stable block were beautiful, so rustic and kept a lot of charm. It was snowing and minus 3 when we were there yet with the fires and heating on it was so cosy, do take slippers though. The rooms were clean and spacious, everyRead moreone was happy. We had a bit of a do on the Saturday and the kitchen/dining room fit 16 people comfortably. Would definitely return and encourage other people to book too. Hide
