Contemporary family holiday cottage set within the picturesque Yorkshire Dales boasting luxurious touches throughout including an indulgent hot tub, sauna and pool table for an unforgettable trip.

Discover a unique and luxurious holiday cottage set in an elevated position in beautiful Wensleydale. This gorgeous barn conversion has the wow-factor in every room, and with facilities like an outdoor hot tub, infra-red sauna and pool table, it's rather like checking into your own private hotel. Foodies will love the choice of nearby gastropubs too.

From the heated limestone flooring to the top-quality furnishings and fabrics, no expense has been spared in this property. The accommodation is on one level and at the heart of the home is a striking open-plan living space with the lounge, kitchen and dining area. Exposed oak beams and trusses overhead remind you of the building's heritage.

Make your way over to the lounge where you'll find a large wood burner keeping everything nice and toasty. Settle down on one of two comfy sofas and enjoy the glorious views across Wensleydale from the floor-to-ceiling windows. When darkness falls a Smart TV with Netflix provides the evening entertainment. Wi-Fi is also provided if you need to catch up online or post about how gorgeous your accommodation is. French doors lead out to the terrace from here.

At the other end of the room is the stylish and contemporary kitchen with its ivory units and sleek granite worktop. You'll find a ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice-box and a microwave. There's a Nespresso machine for your morning coffee (pods not included) and a Nutri-bullet for whizzing up healthy juices.

Time for dinner. Pick up some excellent Yorkshire produce from one of the delis in Leyburn and rustle up something delicious. Settle down to eat at the charming walnut table complete with some exquisite suede chairs. After dinner, flip the table over to reveal a full-size pool table.

There are two generous bedrooms in this luxury cottage. The master bedroom has a king-size bed to retreat to each evening and a wall-mounted Smart TV if you enjoy a spot of morning telly in your pyjamas. This room also boasts a stunning en-suite bathroom with an elliptical bath and infra-red sauna. With its state-of-the-art chromotherapy LED lighting it uses the science of colours to stimulate health and harmony in the body.

The second bedroom is configured as a twin room, but if requested, can be set up as a super-king. It also enjoys its own wall-mounted Smart TV. This room sits next door to a spacious shower room with beautiful limestone tiles and a huge walk-in monsoon shower.

There is much to love outside this gorgeous holiday home. The star of the show is the hot tub with its views across the surrounding countryside. Warm and ready for you whatever the season, sinking into the soothing bubbles is a sheer delight - the owner would ask all guests to bring along their own shoes to get from the cottage to the hot tub.

The large paved terrace is also home to a wooden bench-style seating area, perfect for al fresco picnics or BBQs on those balmy summer evenings. Walkers and cyclists will also appreciate the separate boiler room to the rear of the cottage which is perfect for storing and drying out walking boots/clothes, as well as providing secure storage for bikes. The cottage also provides a charging point for electric cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The property enjoys an idyllic location in the Yorkshire Dales. Set in an elevated position, the cottage looks out onto the lush green pastures of Wensleydale with amazing views to be had in every direction.

Just over 1 mile away in the village of Finghall, there is a tiny rural train station where you can hop aboard the Wensleydale steam trains. Heaven for kids and rather delightful for adults too, you can head up to Leyburn for lunch before taking the train back home again.

The attractive town of Bedale is 7 miles away and is worth a visit. Stop for a coffee before making your way around the town's antique shops. In the opposite direction, you'll find Leyburn (4 miles), an archetypical slice of Dales market town life. Here you'll find traditional shops, pubs and cafes all gathered around the handsome town square, which hosts a busy market every Friday. Alternatively, visit the historic town of Richmond (11.5 miles) which has a tranquil setting along the River Swale.

There are lots of other pretty villages and stunning natural sights all within close range of the property. Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are both under 11.5 miles away and the pretty villages of East Witton, West Burton and Askrigg are all under 16 miles, so there are lots of choices for things to do if you want to get out and about. If walking is your thing, the Yorkshire Dales are something of a walker's paradise and you can strike out from the door of this luxury Wensleydale cottage. And there are plenty of options for cycling too in Tour De France country, with a myriad of gastro pubs to stop off at along the way.
