The property has a stylish finish yet provides a cosy home from home to enjoy the magnificent scenery that surrounds the cottage and lovely dark skies.

This wonderful property is situated down a peaceful close in the quiet village of Kirkby Misperton, surrounded by the North York Moors and Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Despite your secluded location, popular Flamingoland Resort is just half a mile away and is home to a zoo, theme park and restaurants and bars. Plus, you’ll never be without a pint of milk since there’s a shop just a mile away. With ample space for six people, this house is bursting with contemporary comforts and offers a welcoming home-from-home with your own hot tub in the garden for added indulgence.

As soon as you step through the door, you’re greeted with bright and airy open-plan accommodation that stretches from the living area to the patio doors where you can see straight into the beautiful garden. Cool, pale tones blend with rustic furniture in the living area, where you can snuggle up on the sofas in front of the ornamental fireplace while you watch your favourite film on the Smart TV.

Culinary guests will enjoy cooking up a storm in the u-shaped kitchen where wood-style worktops and contemporary country-style cabinets create a warm and homely feel. Enjoy sociable mealtimes at the charming wooden dining table, looking out through the patio doors towards the lawn and the decked area. Sizzle up a BBQ out here in the summer months before retiring to the hot tub for an evening soak with your favourite tipple. Children and dogs will love running around on the lawn as you look on. If you’ve brought your bikes with you (which is certainly recommended as a way to explore the local area!), there’s a lockable shed in the garden so you don’t have to worry about the safety of your bikes.

When it’s time for bed, climb the stairs to the tranquil bedrooms; a sumptuous king-size room with soothing grey and white tones promotes a perfect night’s sleep. There’s even a Smart TV in here so you can have a lie-in while you watch your favourite programmes in total comfort, and a dressing table to make getting ready in the morning that little bit easier. A delightful twin room has warm, earthy decor and intricate furnishings that create a calming atmosphere, and there’s a Smart TV in here too. The bunk bedroom has a happy, colourful feel with yellows and greys paired with fresh white, so children or grown-ups will be just as comfortable in here. Though compact, the room gets lots of natural light, so you’ll wake up naturally feeling refreshed and ready for a day of adventure.

In the morning, jump in the fantastic overhead shower for an invigorating wake-up call; stylish chrome fittings and trendy downlighting make this the ideal spot for getting yourself ready for the day. However, sleek white tiles and great use of black in furnishings also makes the bathroom a relaxing place for a soak in the bath after a long day of walking in the countryside, alleviating your aches and pains.

When you’ve had your fun at Flamingo Land, there is plenty more to explore just a few miles away. The vibrant and attractive market town of Pickering (4 miles) is perfect for a relaxing wander around its pretty houses, shops and tearooms. Grand Georgian architecture stands alongside cosy traditional cottages to create a picture-postcard location with several excellent restaurants, pubs and cafes in the town. The wonderful North York Moors Railway starts in Pickering where you can catch a steam train to Whitby and back again through some of the most picturesque countryside in Yorkshire.

Beyond Pickering lies the awe-inspiring North York Moors (6 miles), a landscape of gently rolling hills of heather, ancient woodland and lazy rivers winding through lush green valleys. If you want to get away from it all, take a trip to the top of the high central moorlands, which is also a great option if walking is your thing.

In addition to Pickering, there are many well-heeled towns and villages dotted about the Moors, where honey-coloured sandstone buildings lend warm contrast to the deep purple and green of the surrounding hills. The beautiful market town of Helmsley is 14.5 miles away and is well worth a visit for its great restaurants, cafes and delis. If you fancy a little pampering, you'll also find a fantastic day spa here.

The charming town of Kirkbymoorside is 9 miles away with its treasure trove of art and antique shops, tearooms, Ryedale Folk Museum and a great market on Wednesdays. Eden Camp, a fascinating modern history museum, is just 6.5 miles away. You're also close to Castle Howard (9.5 miles) and York (26 miles) and the North Yorkshire coast, so there’s lots of choice for day trips.
