Cottage was cozy & lovely with beautiful countryside - even a fun little games room for kids. Great that a park was right near the cottage. And only 30 min max from York ctr. If you aren't with the kids and want to sit in the pub all day, the local one doesn't open during the day or mondays, but wasn't a problem for us, as we were out visiting locaRead morelly and could still pop in for dinner. A beautiful cottage, very warm and cosy. Lots of little extras for example some tea/coffee and a bottle of wine on arrival! Not too far from York with all its main attractions. The games room was great and my 2 children thoroughly enjoyed playing in there. The owner was very friendly and helpful too.

Lovely little cottage and we had an amazing stay. Peach's place was perfect for us and some of the days we were there it was incredibly hot (stayed at the end of August/beginning of September). With a varied landscape of windswept dales, heather-clad moors and dramatic coast, interspersed with picturesque towns and villages, vibrant cities and a rich historical heritage, Yorkshire is rightly considered one of Britain's premier holiday destinations. Known as 'God's Own County', Yorkshire has nearly one-third of England's National Parkland, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and three sections of coastline designated as Heritage Coast.

Offering infinite opportunities for lovers of the great outdoors, the wild expanse of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in North and West Yorkshire is a glorious mix of awe-inspiring scenery, imposing castles, characterful Dales' villages and drystone walls. While to the east, the North York Moors National Park offers atmospheric moorland, fragrant pine forests and charming towns tucked away within steep-sloped valleys. Extending all the way to the Yorkshire Coast, you can even experience a traditional day at the seaside at popular resorts including Whitby, Flamborough and Scarborough. It's a beautiful terrain to explore.

A visit to the historical city of York is a must. Renowned for its medieval architecture, the magnificent York Minster and a myriad of museums, independent shops and exceptional eateries, you will not be disappointed. Then there's the chalk landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, known to have inspired David Hockney. And with a packed calendar of events and festivals each year, including the Malton Food Festival, the Tour de Yorkshire and the Great Yorkshire Show, there's always something exciting to enjoy.
