The larger of two barn conversions, this beautiful property is perfect for memorable getaways in the North York Moors.

This welcoming cottage is the larger of two beautiful barn conversions set high up in the North York Moors. This traditional sandstone barn has been lovingly decorated with a comfortable yet elegant touch. The cottage provides stunning views from the surrounding hills and is a short distance from the gorgeous foodie town of Helmsley, just 12.5 miles away.

A truly lovely property which has retained the rural charm of the original building during conversion. With exposed brickwork, ceiling beams and exceptional height in the downstairs living space, the owners have managed to create a real sense of space but also with a real element of cosiness. The interiors are finished with contemporary flair and the stunning open-plan living space features a lounge area complete with a wood burner and comfy leather sofas. Light the fire and settle down to a movie on the Smart Tv with DVD. There's also underfloor heating giving the whole house a warm and cosy ambience. The chunky oak dining table sits beside the kitchen and is the perfect spot to perch yourself with a glass of champagne while someone cooks up a storm in the kitchen.

The kitchen itself is well-equipped and comes complete with a fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and a dishwasher for your convenience. The open-plan arrangement means that no matter where you are in this space, there is still a sense of togetherness.

The cottage also has three spacious bedrooms, all en-suite, so no queues for the bathroom in the morning. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor and feature built-in wardrobes, TVs and shower room facilities. One of these rooms has a king-size bed and the other is a double. The master bedroom occupies the entire first floor and is an impressive size with super king-size bed, generous bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower and far-reaching views out across the moors. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind away from the rest of the house.

To the front of the cottage is a small lawned area which looks directly onto the country estate, and to the rear, a delightful sheltered patio complete with a BBQ for those balmy North York Moors summer evenings. This is a heavenly Yorkshire retreat for families and friends alike. A picnic table makes this an ideal spot to dine alfresco and make the most of being in the great outdoors.

This property can also be booked along with Partridge Cottage for larger group get-togethers or celebrations.

Please note, the cottage is set on a shooting estate.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage is set high up in a picturesque valley in the western reaches of the North York Moors. Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1987, the lush pastures and woodlands of the Western Moors play host to grand country houses, atmospheric ruins and handsome market towns. There are some stunning walks right from your doorstep, and you are just a few miles from the famous Cleveland Way.

Just 7.5 miles north is the market town of Stokesley. Hosting a market every Friday on its handsome cobbled square, this charming Georgian town offers a host of independent shops, cafes and restaurants to try. There's also a nine-hole golf course and swimming pool. The neighbouring village of Great Ayton is also well worth a visit, an idyllic Yorkshire village set beside a meandering river, and once the boyhood home of Captain James Cook.

The beautiful market town of Helmsley is 12.5 miles away and is well worth a visit. If you fancy a little pampering, you'll find the Verbena Spa here; perfect for a little me-time indulgence. The vibrant village of Osmotherley is 13 miles away with its olde-worlde charm and two fantastic gastropubs. And no holiday in Yorkshire could be complete without an afternoon tea in Betty’s Tearooms, found in the pretty market town of Northallerton, 18 miles away.

You're also close to Castle Howard (25 miles), York (36.5 miles) and the North Yorkshire coast, so lots of choice for day trips.

This is a well equipped, comfortable, warm, cosy and spacious property in the countryside so great for walking and cycling but with easy access to local villages and towns. Its a great place from which to explore the Moors.

The cottage is a barn conversion type & so plenty of space with large rooms in a modern style. Good outdoor eating area with bbq. Situated 1 mile from the road along a twisty & turny narrow road, but the benefit of this gives you real peace & quiet, good views set in open countryside if you dont mind the on site pheasant & partridge breeding farm. Beautifully appointed barn conversion with excellent ensuite facilities for all 3 bedrooms. The lounge/dining/kitchen area is spacious and well designed. The North Yorkshire moors are literally outside the front door. It is a remote area and would only suit those who enjoy isolation, peace and quiet. Only accessible by car but there are villages anRead mored small towns just a short drive away. Hide
