Exceptionally based in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, giving you great access to historical sites and miles of footpaths and cycling routes. Great destination for small families and couples.

Relax out in the sunshine at this welcoming holiday home in Langtoft, in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. Soak up the scenery from the garden or gaze out at the greenery through the picture windows. Up to four guests are welcome to stay at the two-bedroom property, which is approximately 14 miles from Scarborough and 12 miles from Bridlington. Up to two delighted dogs are also welcome to join in the fun at this holiday home, which is in a great location for stretching furry legs on long country walks and could suit a small family or two couples.

Arrive at this homely, village property, gather your holiday belongings from the car and head into the cottage ready to make yourselves right at home. Leave your jackets, boots and dog leads in the lobby and then wander in to find bright, airy accommodation, with a fresh, modern style. Discover the lounge, where you can put your feet up after bracing country walks and exciting days out on the beach. Find a few quiet moments in here with a cup of tea and a slice of cake before setting to and making dinner. Spend your evenings relaxing with the rest of your party in the lounge too, choosing a film, perhaps, on the TV.

Amble through into the kitchen/diner, when it’s your turn to whip up something tasty for dinner. You’ll have everything you need to help you in preparations, and the kitchen also comes complete with a useful dishwasher and handy washing machine. Lay the table in here too then serve a hearty feast to your fellow guests.

Enjoy a fun evening together then make your way up to the first floor to choose between two inviting bedrooms. One of these is a king-size room, which has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, while the other is a twin with an en-suite shower room.

Wake up to gorgeous views then step outside into the morning sunshine to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee while you listen to the birds, watch the sunrise and plan your day. Return to this small garden to the front of the house to enjoy lunch and dinner when the weather is fine during the summer. This cottage comes with off-road parking.

Enjoy heading straight out to discover beautiful routes right from the front door, either on foot or by bicycle. Plan interesting days out to places such as Bempton on the coast, 14 miles away, which is home to colonies of breeding seabirds. Head to vibrant Scarborough, 15 miles away, for a fun family afternoon at the seaside: picnic on the beach, swim and enjoy fish and chips before heading home. Also visit Filey, 14 miles away, or Bridlington, 12 miles away, to paddle, play on the sand and enjoy some sea air. The market and minster town of Beverley, 19 miles away, is also a great place to go shopping, dine out and enjoy some live performances while you are in the area.

In Scarborough, you can make your way through its historic streets to explore the castle or pop into St Mary’s churchyard to visit Anne Bronte’s grave. Enjoy a stroll around the South Cliff area taking in the famous spa and Italian Gardens. Catch the cliff lift down to the beach and walk around to the peaceful North Bay, visit the renowned Sea Life Centre or explore the beautiful Peasholm Park with its boating lake, woodland walks and oriental influences.

The old railway line which ran from Scarborough to Whitby is now a stunning cycle and walking route and is the perfect choice if you feel like a coastal walk taking in some spectacular scenery.

Sitting at the eastern foot of the North York Moors, the region’s dramatic landscape of heather and open moorland is just a short drive away (approximately 20 miles from Langtoft). Somewhat smaller than the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors still cover an area of almost 600 square miles and, like the Dales, you can easily find yourself miles from anywhere relatively quickly. But there is something distinctly more civilised and less remote about the moors; in place of harsh limestone and dramatic peaks, you’ll find gently rolling hills of heather, ancient woodland and lazy rivers winding through lush green valleys.

The rest of the Yorkshire coast is also close by. Much like its Cornish counterpart, the North Yorkshire coastline is a heady mix of rugged cliff tops, peaceful bays and pretty fishing villages. With long sandy beaches and all the traditional seaside trimmings of yesteryear, this is proper bucket and spade territory. That’s not to say it’s stuck in the past; in fact, the coast’s villages and towns combine the traditional with the contemporary effortlessly, with trinket shops and tea rooms sitting alongside upmarket champagne and oyster bars.

What a wonderful week we had. Perfectly located to visit the beaches and attractions of the East Coast of Yorkshire. A gorgeous little retreat to unwind and recharge. Our dogs enjoyed it as much as we did as they were allowed complete access inside and out. We'll definitely be back

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and peaceful. Loved watching the sun rise from our bedroom window and hearing the owl call at night. A great location for exploring East and North Yorkshire.

We were very impressed with everything about the cottage and am sure anyone else would be. It accommodates 4 and there were only 2 of us, but the space was more than ample for 4.

Great location as a base for a holiday exploring the Wold, the Moors and the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. Comfortable & clean. Small details thought about - kitchen very well equipt, excellent to have two ensuites. Def recommend it as a well-appointed base to come home to after days out exploring. Worked for our two whippets too - though we wouldn't Read morelet them out on their own off lead in the garden as by a road, not busy but unpredictable in terms of traffic.
