Set in beautiful Nidderdale, this outstanding lodge is a perfect holiday home for a family looking for a secluded spot in lovely countryside, which is also close to the thriving spa town of Harrogate.

This is an exceptional property set in the beautiful area of Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It offers the best of both worlds, with breathtaking Yorkshire Dales scenery and cycling routes to explore and the cosmopolitan spa town of Harrogate just a short drive away, this is the perfect property for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers as well as those who love a more vibrant scene.

The lodge, built in 2020 and already fabulous in its own right, has also been given the full Joules treatment and is within our exclusive collection of properties. Bedecked throughout with their signature bedding, furniture, accents and accessories, this stunning property has been elevated to simply superb proportions. The beautiful interiors now boast everything from a gorgeous Patterdale bed to crockery, hand towels and luxury toiletries making this property truly distinctive.

The property is tucked away on a secluded hillside in the southern Yorkshire Dales, offering the comfort of a luxury holiday, with all the cosiness and warmth of a log cabin escape but on a grander scale. On the ground floor you’ll find a spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. A wood burner fills the property with warmth, while floor to ceiling windows offer uninterrupted views of the spectacular countryside. The stylish lounge features sumptuous sofas to curl up on and beautiful wooden floors, with the kitchen located to the rear of this area. Its elegant units are well stocked with all the equipment you’ll need to rustle up and serve a family dinner, including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available in the utility area on the landing - handy if you have walking clothes to wash and dry off. The dining area is also part of the open-plan downstairs, a delight on colder mornings when you can enjoy a long lazy breakfast by the fire. The table seats everyone comfortably, so plenty of room for the whole family.

There are also two lovely bedrooms on the ground floor with a further bedroom upstairs. In the first bedroom, you’ll find a lovely, king-size bed and double aspect windows letting in lots of light. Next door is the second bedroom, a twin, perfect for little ones, all now styled with Joules accessories. Both bedrooms share a ground floor shower room with walk-in shower and WC. Make your way up the bespoke wooden staircase to find the stunning first-floor master bedroom with a super-king-size bed and access to a private glass balcony. Snuggle up on the chair here at dusk and enjoy trying to spot any of the local wildlife. The bathroom is set just across the landing, this room boasts a freestanding bath, separate walk-in shower and WC.

Doors from the open-plan space leading directly out onto the wooden deck to the front of the lodge. With elegant garden furniture, it’s the perfect spot for a sun downer, with blankets provided to keep you snug as the sun sets and a bubbling hot tub ready and waiting for you. Beyond the deck, explore the acres of grounds in which the lodge is set, discover the stream and pack horse bridge. There are also sheep and cows roaming freely which graze in the adjoining fields. There is off-road parking available for up to three cars. Please note that the grounds of the lodge include a pond and children must be supervised at all times in and around the property.

For larger groups, there is an identical second lodge  - also sleeping 6 in 3 beautiful bedrooms available nearby. The second lodge has its own large, outdoor grounds and plenty of space between for each property to enjoy its own privacy. Please enquire if you would like to check availability to book both properties at the same time.

Very stylish design which makes the most of the views and works well for a family. The covered balconies for both the living room and main bedroom are cosy and clever.

The cottage itself was very well thought out and comfortable with good quality contents. The location was superb, with lovely views and plenty of easy country walks from the door. A real home from home, highly recommended.

With a varied landscape of windswept dales, heather-clad moors and dramatic coast, interspersed with picturesque towns and villages, vibrant cities and a rich historical heritage, Yorkshire is rightly considered one of Britain's premier holiday destinations. Known as 'God's Own County', Yorkshire has nearly one-third of England's National Parkland, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and three sections of coastline designated as Heritage Coast.

Offering infinite opportunities for lovers of the great outdoors, the wild expanse of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in North and West Yorkshire is a glorious mix of awe-inspiring scenery, imposing castles, characterful Dales' villages and drystone walls. While to the east, the North York Moors National Park offers atmospheric moorland, fragrant pine forests and charming towns tucked away within steep-sloped valleys. Extending all the way to the Yorkshire Coast, you can even experience a traditional day at the seaside at popular resorts including Whitby, Flamborough and Scarborough. It's a beautiful terrain to explore.

A visit to the historical city of York is a must. Renowned for its medieval architecture, the magnificent York Minster and a myriad of museums, independent shops and exceptional eateries, you will not be disappointed. Then there's the chalk landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, known to have inspired David Hockney. And with a packed calendar of events and festivals each year, including the Malton Food Festival, the Tour de Yorkshire and the Great Yorkshire Show, there's always something exciting to enjoy.

Our holiday cottages in Yorkshire are handpicked to ensure a luxurious and uniquely memorable experience. From dog-friendly cottages in the country to large family houses by the sea and romantic retreats in the city, we have a holiday in Yorkshire to suit everyone.
