A beautiful first floor apartment in the centre of Skipton with everything you need straight from your door.

Situated on the first floor of a historic building, this stylish apartment in the market town of Skipton is a wonderful base for couples who want to explore Yorkshire’s stunning landscapes. Steeped in history, with cobbled streets and a 900-year-old castle, Skipton is known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales’. It is popular with walkers and cyclists who want to explore the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the north, Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the east and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the west. All of these areas have an abundance of panoramic views, a wealth of walking trails to suit arduous hikers and laid-back amblers alike, and plenty of breathtaking wildlife. This property’s town centre location offers guests the convenience of independent shops and eateries on your doorstep, whilst still being close to the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside.

Heading up the stairs from the street, you’ll find yourself in the small hall, where you can discard your walking boots and coats. From here, move into the spacious, contemporary lounge which has a range of seating, allowing you and your loved one plenty of space to stretch out those weary legs. Large windows allow light to flood in and bounce off the clean walls, whilst modern furniture and cool tones make it feel welcoming and comfortable. Next door, there is a compact kitchen. Once again, it’s contemporary and well-equipped so that you can create hearty breakfasts or romantic evening meals. There is a breakfast bar in the kitchen with enough dining room for two. When it’s time to retire for the evening, make your way into the spacious king-size bedroom, decorated in the same stylish tones as the rest of the apartment. Completing the accommodation is a well-presented, modern shower room.

There is roadside parking near the property (subject to availability). The railway station is 0.5 miles away.

  • 1 Bedroom - king-size
  • 1 Shower room with shower and WC
  • Electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer
  • Roadside parking subject to availability

With a varied landscape of windswept dales, heather-clad moors and dramatic coast, interspersed with picturesque towns and villages, vibrant cities and a rich historical heritage, Yorkshire is rightly considered one of Britain's premier holiday destinations. Known as 'God's Own County', Yorkshire has nearly one-third of England's National Parkland, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and three sections of coastline designated as Heritage Coast.

Offering infinite opportunities for lovers of the great outdoors, the wild expanse of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in North and West Yorkshire is a glorious mix of awe-inspiring scenery, imposing castles, characterful Dales' villages and drystone walls. While to the east, the North York Moors National Park offers atmospheric moorland, fragrant pine forests and charming towns tucked away within steep-sloped valleys. Extending all the way to the Yorkshire Coast, you can even experience a traditional day at the seaside at popular resorts including Whitby, Flamborough and Scarborough. It's a beautiful terrain to explore.

A visit to the historical city of York is a must. Renowned for its medieval architecture, the magnificent York Minster and a myriad of museums, independent shops and exceptional eateries, you will not be disappointed. Then there's the chalk landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, known to have inspired David Hockney. And with a packed calendar of events and festivals each year, including the Malton Food Festival, the Tour de Yorkshire and the Great Yorkshire Show, there's always something exciting to enjoy.

Our holiday cottages in Yorkshire are handpicked to ensure a luxurious and uniquely memorable experience. From dog-friendly cottages in the country to large family houses by the sea and romantic retreats in the city, we have a holiday in Yorkshire to suit everyone.
