This character cottage has been stylishly renovated to an exceptional standard, providing accommodation for couples, families, and their four-legged friends in the heart of York.

This delightful cottage enjoys an enviable position tucked away on a peaceful street, yet just a stones' throw from the city walls. It provides the ideal base from which to explore this vibrant and ancient City. Take a stroll around the Minster, delight in a boat trip on the River Ouse, visit The National Railway Museum and York Art Gallery or explore the internationally-renowned Jorvik Viking Centre. With cobbled streets, ancient architecture, and a wealth of shops, bars, and restaurants there is something for everyone to enjoy. For keen walkers and cyclists, the Howardian Hills AONB (13 miles), North York Moors (25 miles), and Yorkshire Dales (30 miles) are all within easy reach, providing stunning scenery and a wealth of tracks and trails to explore with your four-legged friends. Move away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre as you step into this boutique cottage.

Enjoying stylish décor with a contemporary twist, the property has been wonderfully furnished to bring the 'outside' in. The cottage benefits from a wonderful open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where the cosy lounge area provides comfortable chairs, a sofa bed and a Smart TV with Netflix. The stunning kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and Nespresso coffee machine. A large dining table creates the ideal space for family and friends to socialise, with wonderful double doors opening up to outside, flooding the room with light. On the first floor, you will find a double bedroom, bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC and a study area where you can relax and read a book or, for the workaholics among us, catch up on some emails. A final flight of stairs leads to the second-floor double bedroom with views over York from the Velux windows and low, sloping ceilings.

Externally, the cottage enjoys a private walled courtyard with a seating area and charcoal BBQ. It is the ideal space to relax in the summer and enjoy a glass of wine al-fresco. A parking permit is provided for on-street parking for one car.

Absolutely beautifully presented house in a exceptionally central location, on street parking was never an issue and we couldnt believe how quiet it was bearing in mind you are 5 minutes away from the City Centre. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a Summer break.

We had an amazing time! The cottage is styled beautifully, is super dog friendly and is so close to the city centre. Cat was a pleasure to deal with, so friendly and accommodating. Not only did she let us check in early due to our travel arrangements changing, she also made a special effort for my mums birthday! We didnt want to leave!

Couldnt fault the property, location or friendliness and attention to detail from the owners. Whole experience was wonderful. Cottage was spotlessly clean. Central to a bustling York, though at night relaxing and quiet.. Can highly recommend and will be making return visits in the future.
