Enjoy relaxing in this country retreat in the heart of Yorkshire moorland, the open-plan studio style space provides the ultimate social accommodation to take a relaxing break with a loved one.

"Situated in the sleepy hamlet of Low Mill in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, this delightful property offers couples the perfect romantic retreat. Surrounded by rolling hills, you’ll be able to immerse yourselves in the rural tranquillity, soak up the stunning scenery and enjoy some quality time together. With plenty of walking and cycling routes/trails on your doorstep, you will be able to make the most of the National Park’s natural beauty and admire the dramatic landscape from different perspectives. And when you get a bit peckish, you will probably stumble across one of many picturesque market towns/villages with a good Yorkshire pub or quintessentially English tearoom to quench your thirst and fill your tummy.

From the outside, this modest property sits humbly within the hamlet of Low Mill, but stepping inside, this gem of a property will soon make you feel cosy and comfortable. The Old Tin School is a uniquely open plan space with lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom all in a studio style arrangement, and hosting an antique ornate wrought iron double bed to fall into at the end of the busy day. Decked out with an eclectic mix of fixtures and fittings to create a unique space. The high ceilings and neutral walls give a sense of light and space, but the contrasting dark panelling and kitchen units add a sense of luxury and sophistication. A few industrial-style touches give the property a contemporary feel, making it the ideal place for couples who appreciate good design. The kitchen area itself is well-equipped with all the mod-cons, so you can rustle up a romantic dinner for two before snuggling up on the comfortable sofas in front of the modern wood burner.

The feeling of light continues in the bright white bathroom with its contrasting monochrome, geometric tiled floor. The bath and shower are separate.

Outside, there is plenty of space surrounding the property which allows you to appreciate the views of the North York Moors. There is a lovely patio area with seating to allow you to make the most of the fresh, country air with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of bubbly in the evening. There is off-road parking for two cars. If you’d prefer to leave the car behind and stretch your legs, the nearest pub is 2.5 miles away and the nearest shop is 5 miles."

"The North York Moors has a landscape like no other; it's a place of heather-covered hills, ancient woodlands and lazy rivers winding through lush green valleys. If you want to get away from it all, take a trip to the top of the high central moorlands. The famous Blakey Ridge (4 miles) affords some of the best views in the country and, if walking is your thing, you are surrounded on all sides by some truly stunning routes.

The nearest significant town to Low Mill is the attractive Kirkbymoorside (6.5 miles), which has much to offer including a gallery, antique shops, tea rooms, deli, wine shop and butcher. There's also a great market on Wednesdays. From here, you can move on to the vibrant and attractive Yorkshire market towns of Pickering (13.5 miles) and Helmsley (12 miles), both of which have an abundance of good restaurants, tea rooms and independent shops. From Helmsley, you can also join the popular National Trail, the Cleveland Way, which skirts along the western and northern edge of the National Park before heading down the coast to Filey. Nearby Hutton-le-Hole (4 miles) is a picturesque village where you can watch artisan craftsmen/women at the Craft Workshops, visit Ryedale Folk Museum or have a bite to eat in one of the several pubs and cafes.

The North Yorkshire Coast is also within easy reach. The gothic town of Whitby, associated with Dracula author, Bram Stoker, has a stunning, ancient abbey perched on the cliffs as well as small, winding streets to explore (27 miles) and is well worth a visit, as is the picture-postcard fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay (32 miles). Take a day trip to either of these places to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Yorkshire's coastline."

The location is lovely in a quiet hamlet in the moors. A nature trail dog walk is 2 mins walk away and walks on the moors are within an easy drive.
