Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend time with loved ones in total peace and tranquillity, within easy reach of local attractions that make your holiday special.

Set in the picturesque town of Pateley Bridge, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this spacious family-friendly holiday home comfortably sleeps eight guests across four bedrooms, while three canine companions are also welcome to join you. Discover historic yards and alleys, along with the lush banks of the River Nidd which runs behind this pretty holiday cottage; while the picture-postcard town features in the Guinness Book of Records, as it lays claim to the oldest sweet shop in England – the place to treat yourself after a long hike, or to buy retro gifts for friends. Or, enjoy a leisurely cycle around the town followed by lunch in a local country pub. Walkers and cyclists will love exploring the surrounding Yorkshire Dales National Park, where there are more than 680 square miles of rolling countryside and dales, peppered with storybook villages, heritage sites, and family-friendly attractions.

Take four steps down to the front door of your charming holiday retreat. Step inside the welcoming hallway to find contemporary, country-style interiors in gorgeous Scandinavian tones complementing wood flooring and furniture, along with thoughtful design features, including pendant log lighting in the bright dining conservatory, an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a family-friendly layout. See what is in your welcome pack, and discuss recipes around the kitchen breakfast bar. Mealtimes are a breeze with the well-equipped kitchen featuring an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave; serve at the pretty kitchen table surrounded by a panelled banquette with under-seat storage, where a long bench ensures ample seating space for your brood. There’s also a convenient dishwasher in the kitchen, and a utility room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer so you’ll have less holiday packing to do. Curl up with a good book in the stylish armchair in the living area or catch up on favourite TV programmes on the Smart TV with a sound bar, and the warmth of a wood burner in the snug (first basket of logs included). You’ll find a stylish double bedroom, plus a shower room on the ground floor. There are three further bedrooms upstairs: a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room (with a zip-and-link bed which can be adapted to a twin); a further king-size (zip-and-link) bedroom; and a double bedroom with river views; plus a family bathroom. Enjoy sweet slumber in this idyllic setting. In the morning, open the double doors in the living area and step outside. You’ll find an enclosed lawned garden where children and dogs can play while grown-ups fire up the BBQ on the decked patio for a family meal alfresco, listening to the sound of the river. Off-road parking is available for four cars, and you’ll find pubs, shops, and restaurants within half a mile of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

With a varied landscape of windswept dales, heather-clad moors and dramatic coast, interspersed with picturesque towns and villages, vibrant cities and a rich historical heritage, Yorkshire is rightly considered one of Britain's premier holiday destinations. Known as 'God's Own County', Yorkshire has nearly one-third of England's National Parkland, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and three sections of coastline designated as Heritage Coast.

Offering infinite opportunities for lovers of the great outdoors, the wild expanse of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in North and West Yorkshire is a glorious mix of awe-inspiring scenery, imposing castles, characterful Dales' villages and drystone walls. While to the east, the North York Moors National Park offers atmospheric moorland, fragrant pine forests and charming towns tucked away within steep-sloped valleys. Extending all the way to the Yorkshire Coast, you can even experience a traditional day at the seaside at popular resorts including Whitby, Flamborough and Scarborough. It's a beautiful terrain to explore.

A visit to the historical city of York is a must. Renowned for its medieval architecture, the magnificent York Minster and a myriad of museums, independent shops and exceptional eateries, you will not be disappointed. Then there's the chalk landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, known to have inspired David Hockney. And with a packed calendar of events and festivals each year, including the Malton Food Festival, the Tour de Yorkshire and the Great Yorkshire Show, there's always something exciting to enjoy.

Our holiday cottages in Yorkshire are handpicked to ensure a luxurious and uniquely memorable experience. From dog-friendly cottages in the country to large family houses by the sea and romantic retreats in the city, we have a holiday in Yorkshire to suit everyone.
