A former coach house, this gorgeous property has embraced its new lease of life with style and flair. Boasting flawless design, it is the perfect romantic retreat.

Intimate, stylish and perfectly proportioned, this one-bedroom bolthole nestles in the heart of one of Wensleydale's prettiest villages and looks directly out towards Middleham Castle. Some lovely cafes and restaurants are within half a mile as is Yorkshire's glorious open countryside. It's the perfect choice for honeymoons and those who want to whisk their loved one away.

This gorgeous coach house has been crafted into one of Yorkshire's most eclectic and romantic holiday cottages. Open the charming stable door to find an elegant open-plan living space with a bespoke kitchen and handsome sitting room. Classic style and contemporary comforts combine to create a calm and peaceful room. You'll love feeling the heated flagstone floors underfoot before sinking into the comfy sofa for a read. And in the evenings fire up the wood burner and catch up with a favourite programme on the LCD TV.

The quirky layout of the kitchen makes great use of the space. It's really well equipped with everything any keen cook could want and there are plenty of mod cons including a dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. We're rather fond of the Jamie Oliver glassware too.

Make your way upstairs to the stunning master bedroom. Like something from a boutique hotel, this breathtaking room features a beautiful king-size bed and dramatic monsoon shower set behind a glass wall. It's glamorous and romantic, while the soft tones give it a sophisticated vibe. The bed is dressed in the finest bed linen and features a top-quality HYPNOS mattress. The en-suite includes a WC, and there are complimentary toiletries and bathrobes to enjoy.

Outside there is a private and sheltered patio with a great view of the castle walls. It's a lovely spot for your morning coffee; sit and imagine what was going on in the castle opposite you many hundreds of years ago. And later on, you can wrap up, pop open a bottle of wine and cosy down in front of the chimenea.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £150 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Warwick Coach House is set in the heart of Middleham village in Wensleydale, one of Yorkshire's loveliest villages. Famous for its castle (once home to Richard III) it's also home to several racehorse trainers; you will see and hear the horses being led through the village up to the gallops every day. And to top it off there is a lovely collection of pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops.

Opposite the cottage is a charming tea room if you fancy an afternoon treat, and for dinner, you can opt for a local pub or perhaps some Italian food. There's also a village store and a couple of bric-a-brac shops to mooch around. Just a few miles out of the village is the fantastic attraction The Forbidden Corner (3 miles). Regularly voted the best family attraction in Yorkshire, it's also worth a look even if there are no children in your party.

In the opposite direction, you'll find the charming market town of Leyburn (2 miles). Leyburn is an archetypical slice of Dales market town life. You'll find traditional shops, pubs and cafes all gathered around the handsome town square, which hosts a busy market every Friday. Leyburn is also home to the biggest auction centre outside of London if you fancy picking up a bargain. The nearby historic town of Richmond (13 miles) is similar in many ways and has a lovely setting along the River Swale.

There are lots of other pretty villages and stunning natural sights all within close range of Warwick Cottage. Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are both within 10 miles and the gorgeous villages of West Burton (10 miles) and Askrigg (14 miles) are within easy driving distance, so there is lots of choice for things to do if you want to get out and about. If walking is your thing, the Yorkshire Dales are something of a walker's paradise. There are plenty of options for cycling too in this Tour De France country.

The cottage had all the amenities, to make your stay comfortable, very private and quiet. We loved Middleham and the cottage was placed in an ideal location as everything was just a short walk away. The outside chimnea was a nice touch and we made good use of it in the evenings. The cottage itself was very well presented with tasteful decor. The upstairs definitely has a wow-factor. It's a cosy little retreat and in fact we were initiaRead morelly disappointed by it's small size. The photographs gave the impression of more outside space, but we soon got used to it. The cottage experience could be improved with some minor changes. We really struggled using the hob and oven as we're used to cooking on gas. It would be good to put together some 'Idiots Guides' to save the hassle of searching through the manuals. A lamp would be a good addition to the seating area. We also found the bed and the pillows too hard. But that aside, we had a really lovely break. Hide
