Born in Blackburn, Lancashire in 1969, Sue completed her artistic training in the early 1990’s. Then came the wilderness years with many adventures stretching from Preston to Peru.
In 2010 Sue established ‘The Pop-Up Gallery CIC’ – a travelling gallery bringing affordable Art, interesting artists, workshops and more to unusual venues around the Dales and Catterick Garrison. And in 2013 Sue was appointed director of The Inaugural Dales Festival of Art, an exciting challenge and surprising success with art trails, markets, exhibitions and a sculpture park around Leyburn.
Her latest work explores the agricultural heritage of The Yorkshire Dales especially the Stone Barns under threat from recent changes in planning laws. Old farm machinery, dry-stone walls, barns,meadows feature along with the odd chicken with attitude thrown in for good measure.

In November 2014 Sue and fellow artist paper-cutter Clare Lindley established Art Tarts Gallery Unit 7 Small Shops Arcade, Ripon as a shared studio and selling space showcasing their original artwork as well as hosting informal but fun art workshops.
