Welcome to this beautiful and spacious one-bedroom holiday home set in a gorgeous rural location in the Dales and just 11 miles from Harrogate. Perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for a grown-up country retreat, with stunning walks from the doorstep.

 

This property is a delicious mix of old and new, with historic stone walls giving way to a bright and contemporary interior. Inside, the ambiance is one of elegance and luxury with thick soft carpets underfoot and top-quality furnishings throughout. And you'll be pleasantly surprised at how spacious it is inside.

 

Downstairs you'll find a large open-plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen comes well-equipped with everything you could need including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Dining at the chic glass table is a pleasure, whatever the time of day. It's the perfect spot to settle yourself down with a glass of bubbly while your other half rustles up something delicious for dinner. And if you need extra entertainment there's a TV provided for you.

 

At the heart of the sitting room is a striking cream wood burner. Fire it up in the evenings to enjoy cosy nights by the fire, sink down onto the comfy seating and relax.

 

Make your way up the stairs to find a large master bedroom complete with a king-size bed. Natural light floods into this warm and comfortable room from a large skylight window. There's a TV on the wall if you fancy catching up with news in the morning. Indulge with a long lazy breakfast in bed while you decide which of Yorkshire's amazing attractions you'll visit later that day.

 

Opposite the bedroom is the bathroom boasting a fabulous roll-top bath and a separate walk-in shower. As with the rest of the cottage, you have a luxurious feeling of space in here, it's the perfect spot for a long hot soak each evening. Luxury hand wash and lotion complete the scene.

 

Outside the cottage is a charming enclosed courtyard with outdoor furniture available for the warming months. This sheltered sunny spot is a heavenly place for al fresco dining with a bottle or two of something good.

This property is in a beautiful location, set amongst the rolling green hills of Summerbridge in Nidderdale. Approached via a private lane, it offers the peace and tranquillity of the Yorkshire Dales countryside with the delights of cosmopolitan Harrogate just 11 miles away. With stunning walks and mountain bike trails from the doorstep, the cottage is heaven for lovers of all things outdoors and for eats you'll find no shortage of excellent gastro pubs and restaurants in the area.

Harrogate is an absolute must if you're staying here. Encircled by its famous Stray, 1,000 acres of horseshoe-shaped grassland, the Victorian spa town of Harrogate has a bright and breezy open-air feel and is characterised by its impressive floral displays. As you would expect of such a bustling upbeat town, Harrogate boasts over 300 bars and restaurants together with all the shops, swimming pools, cinemas, parks and gardens you could ever wish for.

Head 5 miles in the opposite direction and you will find Pateley Bridge, a charming little market town very typical of this area of Yorkshire. The main street is peppered with cafes, restaurants, local stores, quality butchers and a fantastic wine shop - everything you need to stock up for your stay. You'll also find the self-proclaimed 'Oldest Sweet Shop in England' here dating back to the early 1800s.

Pateley Bridge sits at the heart of the breathtaking Nidderdale landscape, itself an AONB and immediately adjacent to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are bags of local attractions and stunning natural sights within easy driving distance, including the much-loved Brimham Rocks, just 2 miles from the cottage - so lots of options for day trips!

Folly Rigg is 5 * for sure. Its immaculate , a very high standard inside and out and situated in a beautiful location. Faultless! The welcome basket is a wonderful addition. Everything has been thought about, it's stunning and we will definetly recommend and return !!

This cottage was absolutely pristine, everything appeared to be brand new - fresh out of the plastic wrapping or tissue paper! We would definitely award more than 5-stars for cleanliness / presentation if it was possible. Welcome basket came highly recommended in all the reviews we read, it did not disappoint and was full of delicious delights. OutRead moreside gated area was very safe and secure for our dog. The advert and photographs are a good representation of what you get. A lovely cottage. Furnishings are to a high standard, everything is there that you wld expect. A quiet spot and a convenient location for visiting Harrogate, York & 2 amazing National Trust sites (Brinham Rocks & Fountains Abbey / Studley Royal Water Garden - a must-see). The cottage was excellent from the moment we arrived with the superb welcome hamper etc. Everything was perfect, immaculate and very clean with a great layout. Super bathroom, great kitchen area and lovely lounge to relax in. The location is great in a nice quiet situation, but very convenient for visiting the Yorkshire area. We loved our stay at this fabulous cottage. It has everything you need for a truly comfortable stay. The setting is beautiful - a perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas whether that be beautiful villages such as Grassington or Settle or some retail therapy at nearby Harrogate and York. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Generous is the best way to describe Folly Rigg. Everything about it is generous! Wonderfully spacious, luxuriously fitted out and beautifully finished. An absolute gem of a cottage for 2. Folly Rig Cottage is a superb holiday let: it is very well set-up and furnished, and provides everything one could wish for.
