Next door there's a utility room which includes a washing machine and clothes airer if you need to wash some muddy walking clothes.

Dinner is served on the lovely farmhouse table set right by the window so you can enjoy views of the garden. Pick up local produce from one of the nearby towns and indulge with a long lazy Yorkshire breakfast.

All of the accommodation at this property is on ground level, including the three bedrooms. The beautiful master bedroom features a king-sized bed, Smart TV and a fabulous free-standing bath for those evening soaks. There is also an en-suite WC.

Bedroom two offers a super king-size bed which can also be configured as two full-size singles if preferred. The beds in this room will be made up as a king-size however, if you would like two singles please state this at the point of booking. The final bedroom is a very sweet single room, suitable for adults as the bed is full-size.

The bathroom is also on ground level and features an additional bath with separate walk-in shower. No need to queue for the bathroom even if there are four adults staying.

There's lots to enjoy outside too. Step outside the lounge patio doors to discover a very pleasant enclosed garden. A good-sized lawn is a great spot for a summer picnic and the stone terrace offers plenty of comfortable patio seating for al fresco dining and heavenly sundowners. A BBQ is provided so you can make the most of the warmer months.

This beautiful cottage is set within open countryside on the outskirts of Newton-le-Willows, a pretty little village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The village itself is charming and there is a gorgeous tea room with great views within walking distance from the cottage.

Beyond the village the attractive town of Bedale (4 miles) is worth a visit. Stop for a coffee before making your way around the town's antique shops. In the opposite direction you'll find the charming market town of Leyburn (9 miles). Leyburn is an archetypical slice of Dales market town life. You'll find traditional shops, pubs and cafes all gathered around the handsome town square, which hosts a busy market every Friday. Leyburn is also home to the biggest auction centre outside of London if you fancy picking up a bargain. The historic town of Richmond (9 miles) is close by and has a lovely setting along the River Swale.

Nearby you'll also find Masham (7 miles), a thriving market town where handsome old Georgian buildings gather politely around a cobbled square. The square is one of the largest and finest in England and famous for its sheep sale where in the past as many as 70,000 sheep were sold here every year.

The popular Masham Sheep Fair is held annually in September and commemorates these times. There are lots of delights to discover in the town including an excellent fine dining restaurant, a host of lovely cafes, a wine shop and several handy butchers. If you enjoy a tipple or two, it's also home to two award-winning breweries, both of which have visitor centres where you can take tours, sample their ales, enjoy food and perhaps take a few bottles home for later too! A lovely nine-hole golf course awaits if you enjoy a round of golf.

There are lots of other pretty villages and stunning natural sights all within close range of this holiday escape. Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are both less than 15 miles away and the gorgeous villages of West Burton and Askrigg are both less than 19 miles, so lots of choice for things to do if you want to get out and about.

If walking is your thing, the Yorkshire Dales are something of a walker's paradise. There are plenty of options for cycling too in Tour De France country. When you need to refuel, stop at one of the areas many excellent gastropubs.
