This exquisite 3-storey, 2-bedroom sandstone cottage is tucked away down a crooked cobbled street in the heart of Robin Hood's Bay: one of the prettiest and most-loved villages on the Yorkshire coast.
Inside you'll find a bright and welcoming holiday home you'll instantly fall in love with. Chic cheerful interiors bring a smile to your face from the moment you walk in, and the village and sea views from the top floor across the rooftops are breathtaking, making this the perfect romantic little seaside hideaway for couples and small families alike.
Downstairs is home to a generous living room boasting exposed original floorboards and a cosy wood burner set on a quarry tile hearth. Sunlight streams through the elegant Georgian sash windows bathing this room in warmth and light. Grab a glossy mag, light the fire and snuggle up on one of two comfy sofas for the afternoon. For your evening entertainment you'll find a 32"" TV with Freeview, a DVD player, Blue tooth speaker and there's also Wi-Fi included if you want to catch up online.
Make your way up some steps into the gorgeous kitchen. This colourful room features beautiful handmade brick floor tiles, units in cardroom green and wood panelling on the walls. Bright seating gives the whole thing a playful, happy feel. You'll find all the usual mod cons including a dishwasher, fridge with ice-box, gas hob, electric oven and microwave. A stable door leads to the most delightful little courtyard and allows you to open the top and let the outside in during the summer months.
Both bedrooms are set upstairs – please be careful as the stairs are a little steep and winding. The first lovely double bedroom can be found on the first floor featuring a handsome cream double bed with warm wooden floors underfoot. This room looks out towards the village with the sea beyond. Next door is the house bathroom, another cheerful room with a fabulous claw-foot free-standing bath and shower overhead. Sage green tiles on the walls compliment the Victorian style black & white tiles on the floor.
The second bedroom is on the top floor. Make your way up wooden steps with a rope bannister (also steep) to discover a further double room. The views from this room are amazing, and well worth the climb up! There's a day bed in here too making it just the place to escape to with a good book; the wildlife on the walls will also remind you of your seaside location.
Make your way back downstairs and through the kitchen into the pleasant little cobbled courtyard. Something of a rarity in the lower bay, this pretty cottage enjoys its own private outdoor space. Garden furniture means you can lunch alfresco and it's also the perfect spot for that afternoon G & T.
This lovely accommodation also has the luxury of a parking permit for the private car park in the lower bay - another huge plus for a property in the village, particularly in the busy summer months.
