Treat yourself to one of the finest luxury holiday cottages in Yorkshire. This fabulous three-bedroom (all en-suite) holiday home has the wow-factor in abundance, both inside and out. With sumptuous boutique-style interiors and a large enclosed garden complete with a hot tub and summer house, this property will thrill and delight even the most seasoned of travellers. Perfect for couples and groups of friends looking for somewhere super special and completely unique.

This period property has been transformed from the old Station Master's house into a captivating holiday home. Specialising in luxury yachts, the interior-designer owner has spared no expense in creating a truly luxurious, elegant and comfortable home. Where Yorkshire meets the Cote d'Azur.

At the heart of the home is the dramatic double-height open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Filled with light from a glass wall and bi-folding doors, and kept warm with underfloor heating, this room is a pleasure to cook, relax and entertain in. The sparkling Silestone worktops are complimented perfectly with well-stocked units, with a striking kitchen island and breakfast bar for those pre-dinner glasses of bubbly. You'll find every possible mod con including a Smeg range cooker, induction hob, microwave, warming drawer, fridge and full-size freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker and two wine fridges.

The dining area is tucked away at the rear of the room, an intimate space where faux suede seats gather around a dining table. Comfortable and informal during the day, atmospheric and cosy at night. There's also space to chill by the fire and watch TV. Choose from a comfy sofa or easy chair and snuggle up by the contemporary wood burner, keeping everything toasty in the winter months. The TV is set on a revolving bracket allowing you to watch it wherever you are in the room.

The house offers state-of-the-art technology throughout with a surround sound music system in the kitchen, as well as an outdoor Bluetooth speaker system in the patio and hot tub area. Other impressive features include wireless mobile phone chargers, plus Bluetooth speakers found in all the bedrooms. There's plenty to keep you entertained, as all TVs in this incredible house come complete with Sky Q and there is also Wi-Fi.

Let's make our way through the hallway, past the handy downstairs WC and into the snug; an inviting room with a further wood burner and Smart TV. This is the just the place to settle down and watch a movie or catch up over a glass of red, with the soft glow from the fire in the background.

There are three stunning bedrooms in the property, all of which are en-suite and come with a fabulous array of little extras and luxuries including; top-quality bed linen, plush fabrics and furnishings, TVs with Sky Q, sumptuous bathrobes and slippers, wireless and USB phone chargers, a water tray with complimentary still and sparkling water, lavender filled mini-cushions, hairdryers and Elixir bedtime pillow spray. All of the en-suites include underfloor heating, LED mirrors, shaving points, Elemis toiletries and travel beauty packages. You really do feel like you've checked into a boutique hotel.

The first bedroom is set on the ground floor looking out towards the railway line. It's set up as a twin as standard but can also be configured as a super-king if desired. The en-suite has a walk-in shower and WC. The remaining two bedrooms are set on the first floor, as is a generous landing home to two comfy armchairs. It's just the spot for a quiet afternoon with a cuppa and glossy magazine.

Bedroom two is set upstairs to the front of the house, looking out over the garden. Featuring a super king-size bed, this room also comes with an impressive en-suite shower and WC. Just pinch yourself and remember you're in deepest Wensleydale, not a top London hotel!

The final bedroom is directly above the first, also facing the railway line. You'll find another super-king bed and this time, an en-suite bathroom featuring a free-standing bath and separate walk-in shower.

There is much to adore outside this extraordinary property too with its large and fully enclosed private garden complete with a white picket fence. It's home to a sizeable lawn, large stone terraces, a gas BBQ and, of course, the hot tub. There are several informal seating areas allowing you to enjoy the sun and view of the railway line throughout the day, as well as a striking outdoor table and chairs. The summer house stores all the outdoor crockery and glassware you'll need and has a water cooler and ice-maker to keep you hydrated. You'll also find several garden games to enjoy, anyone for croquet?

At night, the garden takes on a magical quality with fairy lights around the hot tub, automatic dawn til dusk mood lighting and an outdoor lamp allowing you to dine even when it gets dark. Patio heaters allow you to enjoy this amazing space in the evenings, even in the cooler months and the outdoor music system provides the soundtrack. There is ample off-road parking for several cars as well as a cycle rack available for guests to lock their cycles to.

The house is set just outside the pretty village of Wensley in gorgeous Wensleydale. The scene is one of lush valleys, mellow pastures and pretty villages crisscrossed with acres of green fields and dry-stone walls along its 40-mile length. You are surrounded on all sides by this mesmerising landscape but have the benefit of a vibrant market town just 2 miles away. There's also a great village pub within walking distance.

Once the Station Master's House, the property is set right beside the Wensleydale railway line. It still operates with tourist trains running on weekends throughout the year, and every day in the summer months. The line runs all the way from the market town of Northallerton to the charming little village of Redmire in the Yorkshire Dales. It's known as one of the most scenic railways in the UK, so it’s well worth booking a trip. Particularly one of their regular special services such as the Afternoon Tea, Gin or Ale trains.

If walking is your thing, the Yorkshire Dales are something of a walker's paradise. And there are plenty of options for cycling too in Tour De France country. You can strike out literally from the doorstep up towards Penhill (5.5 miles) or Castle Bolton (4 miles) or take one of the other scenic walking routes in Wensleydale.

The area is also famed for its waterfalls, the most notable being Aysgarth Falls, 6.5 miles away, and Hardraw Force, 15 miles. Wensleydale also borders the wild and magnificent dales of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale to the north. A great choice for a day trip if you want to get away from it all.

Middleham, one of Yorkshire's loveliest villages, is just 4.5 miles away. Famous for its castle (once home to Richard III), it's also home to several racehorse trainers; you will see the horses being led through the village up to the gallops every day. And to top it off, there is a great collection of pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops. Just 2.5 miles out of the village is the fantastic attraction, The Forbidden Corner, perfect for a fun family day out.

Leyburn is 3 miles from the cottage where you can pick up supplies from its Friday market or relax in one of its friendly pubs or cafes. The town is also home to the biggest auction house outside of London if you fancy picking up a bargain. Not forgetting the beautiful town of Richmond (11 miles), with its tranquil setting along the River Swale.

This cottage has exceeded all expectations even though we knew we were booking luxury. The quality and comfort of the furnishings, blankets for use on the garden seats, wine coolers, fondue set. And beds so comfortable and welcoming after a day out in the dales. The area is stunning. Beautiful house, well equipped, relaxing environment in which to enjoy family time together. The younger members of the family were in the hot tub every evening. We took some walks straight from the front door. just a few minutes up to the Leyburn Shawl, and stunning views of Penn Hill. Even the empty train past the garden twice in the week for us.
