With long sandy beaches and all the traditional seaside trimmings of yesteryear, you can indulge in a classic English seaside holiday. That's not to say it's stuck in the past, in fact the Yorkshire Coast's villages and towns combine the traditional with the contemporary effortlessly, with trinket shops and tea rooms sitting alongside up-market restaurants and champagne bars.

Head inland from the cottage and you can be in the heart of the North York Moors within minutes.
