As the name suggests, The Hay Bale was once the storage barn for the hay used to feed the local cattle. It's been given a fabulous make-over since then, transforming it into a stunning rural retreat for two. This beautiful cottage is extremely well appointed with a grown-up mix of traditional and modern design. Inside you'll find a contemporary open plan space, home to the lounge, kitchen and dining area. Underfoot enjoy heated Travertine stone flooring keeping the room lovely and warm whatever the weather. The Hay Bale has been designed to be private and cosy, the perfect retreat to escape from it all.
At the heart of the living area is the cosy wood-burning stove; heavenly to return to a roaring fire after a day's walking in the North York Moors. Snuggle up on the large leather sofa, wrap yourself up in the soft throw and rest your feet on the cow-hide footstool. For your entertainment catch up on your favourite box set on the SMART TV. Wi-Fi and an MP3 docking station are also provided.
The bijou kitchen is immaculate with its solid wooden worktop and Burford grey units. There isn't a traditional oven but a clever use of the space has a microwave in the cupboard above. There's a fridge with an ice-box and you'll find the cupboards well stocked with all the usual utensils and crockery. A drop-leaf dining table sits beside the kitchen and is a pleasant spot for dining at any time of day.
Make your way up the bespoke oak and glass staircase (complete with built in lights) to discover a bedroom with serious wow-factor. This generous double height room features the original oak beams overhead. A fabulous super-king size French bed sits at the centre of the room dressed in the finest cotton bed linen. This bed can also be configured as 2 singles if preferred.
The en suite bathroom is equally impressive boasting a bath with a TV in the wall and a large walk in monsoon shower. Sink into some bubbles and watch your favourite show at the same time! With its sleek tiled floor, infinity mirror and mood lighting it feels like a 5 Star hotel in here.
There are sound proofed interconnecting doors leading to hallway and stairs landing between The Hay Bale and the adjacent property. The doors are fully secure and locked at all times.
