Honeymooners, romantics or those who enjoy an adventure will fall in love with this luxury Yorkshire Cottage. Recently subject to an elegant makeover, it is the perfect size for two. The sense of quality is evident from the moment you walk through the door, from the beautiful stone floors to the exposed walls, original beams and sumptuous furnishings.

At the heart of the cottage, you'll find a peaceful and stylish open-plan living space encompassing the lounge and kitchen/dining space. In the kitchen, soft cream units and a sleek black worktop make this space a pleasure to cook in. A breakfast bar-style table and stools offer the perfect place to tuck into a hearty cooked breakfast or perch with a glass of bubbly in the evenings before dinner. A washing machine and dryer are available on-site should you need it during your stay.

In the lounge, there's a comfortable sofa to snuggle up on. A flame-effect wood burner keeps you nice and toasty while you settle down to watch a movie. A TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi are also provided.

Step through the original arched doors into the bedroom, a dramatic and beautiful room with soft accents of cream and blue. A handsome king-size four-poster bed sits in the middle of the room with an en-suite walk-in monsoon shower next door.

Wander outside to the garden to discover the real star of the show, a fully functioning bubbling hot tub set high up into the branches of a tree! This fabulous location affords stunning views of the surrounding countryside, and you are perfectly secluded in your tub allowing you to enjoy it without a care in the world. With fairy lights twinkling in the tree at night, what could be a more romantic end to the evening.

To the front of the cottage is a large shared courtyard, another very pleasant and sheltered space to settle down with the papers. Beyond the gardens, guests are more than welcome to walk around the estate and meet the local wildlife. The cross-country walk by the church and down to the village pub is highly recommended!

The property has a beautiful location set within a large estate on the cusp of the Yorkshire Dales, an ideal base from which to strike out and discover some unique Yorkshire locations. Reeth (15 miles) and the stunning landscapes of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale (22 miles) are within easy reach, and its well-placed for a day trip over the Lakes if you want to explore there too.

The property is set on the edge of a very pretty village. There's a great dining pub just a short walk away and if you're a bit of a foodie there are several more excellent dining pubs in the area as well as a deli, tea room and farm shop. It's also the perfect location if you enjoy walking. There are lots of beautiful walks from the doorstep and in fact, the area is well known as a great starting point for walking - seasoned walkers come from miles around to set off from the village.

This stunning Yorkshire cottage is just 3 miles away from Richmond, a historic market town with much to offer the discerning holidaymaker. Explore the cobbled market square or head up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. Just a short drive through Richmond takes you into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales proper. Head up towards Reeth (15 miles) and on towards Hawes (28 miles) in Wensleydale for a true taste of this magnificent countryside.

North of the cottage is the charming town of Barnard Castle (12 miles). Recently listed as one of the top 10 places to live in the UK, it's a pretty little place with a host of shops, cafes and pubs to explore. The excellent Bowes Museum is here and is well worth a visit. And as the name would suggest there's a historic castle to explore too.

Further south, you'll find the pretty market town of Northallerton (20 miles) where handsome Georgian houses line the long main street. The wonderful Betty's Tearooms is here as is a fantastic local deli, Lewis & Cooper's Food Emporium and of course the quintessentially Yorkshire department store of Barkers.

To take in the North York Moors head further south still and brave it up Sutton Bank, the view from the top said by some to be the finest in all of England. If you feel like a spot of pampering, there's also a fantastic spa just a few miles down the road.
