Recommended places to eat to Helmsley
The Weathervane at the Feversham Arms
The Feversham Arms has a prime location in Helmsley and along with their gourmet restaurant, The Weathervane, there’s a top class spa where you could enjoy a treatment to make a real day of it. We love the fact in the summer you can eat al fresco by the pool!
The Black Swan Tea Rooms
There’s no mistaking this historic building next to Helmsley’s market square. There’s a great restaurant where you can enjoy meals throughout the day but we are rather partial to Afternoon Tea served in their elegant and traditional tea room.
A fabulous bistro in Helmsley where you can enjoy charcuterie, cheeseboards and cakes with a glass of wine or coffee. Mannion’s has a lovely atmosphere and great views of Helmsley Castle.
The Hare Inn at Scawton
Just outside of Helmsley, close to the very scenic Rievaulx Abbey you’ll find The Hare Inn at Scawton. It’s twice been name Welcome to Yorkshire’s restaurant of the year and has been included in the Michelin Guide for 2016 and 2017. You get a table for the whole night to fully savour their delicious tasting menus.
The Star Inn at Harome
A couple of miles outside Helmsley you’ll find The Star Inn at Harome – a Michelin star restaurant in a gorgeous thatched building that dates back to the 14th century. There’s a choice of menus that showcase the very best of local Yorkshire produce.
