Self-catering holiday accommodation in Settle

In the foothills of the Pennines, you’ll find this picturesque market town. Pick out a cottage hidden in this country town to use as a luxury base while you explore the extraordinary natural sights of the Yorkshire Dales. Coast-to-coast trail, Way of the Roses, passes through and is perfect for cyclist’s looking to explore the area. The most beautiful draw to this place has got to be Scalebar Force, a waterfall less than a 2-mile challenging walk from town. Pack a picnic and step into the Dales to find this hidden falls. For more walking, you can continue along a route just shy of 10 miles that will lead you past a second crashing waterfall called Catrigg Force, alongside River Ribble, and past mysterious caves and caverns.

Back at Settle, an impressive 17th-century house called The Folly sits in the centre of town and is home to a museum, coffee shop and art gallery. There’s a second art gallery in town as well as a garden centre, shops, a train station and a range of pubs, cafes and restaurants. There are elegant  dog-friendly cottages throughout this perfectly located village, so take your pick of historic houses and country cottages that will allow you to spoil yourself with a luxury retreat to the market town of Settle.
