Dark Skies Festival, North York Moors, 9th – 25th February

More like a village than a museum, there are more than 20 buildings to explore in the Ryedale Folk Museum showing how life was lived in times gone by. It’s open this year just in time for half term!
Half term at Castle Howard, 10th – 18th February
Kids can explore the adventure playground then try spotting some of the different nature to be found in the grounds of Castle Howard. Lots of space for little ones to run round!
Mission Space, National Railway Museum, 10th – 18th February

Jorvik Viking Festival, York, 12th – 18th February
This annual celebration of the Viking history of York (or Jorvik to give it its Viking name) is the biggest in Europe. Expect tours, talks, costumes and dramatic re-enactments!
