Dinner is served on a rustic table which has been transformed with a country-chic re-paint. Pick up some local produce from one of the butchers nearby and rustle up a hearty Yorkshire breakfast. Take your time and enjoy it over the papers and a big pot of coffee. Downstairs is also home to a handy WC and hallway with space to store coats and boots.

Both bedrooms are set upstairs, the first of which is the stunning master bedroom. This generous room is home to a gorgeous king-size cast iron bed which lends gravity and character. Plenty of space to stretch out and relax. There's another wall-mounted TV in here if you enjoy a spot of morning telly in your PJs. Bespoke roman blinds give an elegant cosy ambiance. Bedroom two is a lovely twin room featuring two beds and a TV. Both rooms enjoy far reaching views across open countryside.

The family bathroom is also upstairs, a stylish sleek room which has a luxury hotel feel. There's a bath for those who love a long hot soak on holiday and a shower overhead.

Directly outside the house, accessed via the lounge, is a very sweet fenced patio complete with garden furniture for those al fresco lunches. It's also a very pleasant spot for your morning coffee in the Yorkshire sunshine. On the opposite side of the house is an enclosed paved area with feature hot tub, just the spot for a picnic blanket, good book and glass of prosecco. A charcoal BBQ is provided so you can make the most of those warm summer days.

We would highly recommend both 'the old hay barn' & 'hare house'! We hired them together for a long weekend for a large family gathering, which was ideal. They are situated next to each other, on a lovely farm, with dog walks from the doorstep. The hot tubs & games room with a pool table & darts were a large hit. Comfy well sized cottage that readily accomodated the two of us plus dog. I'm sure it would have been perfectly comfortable with 4 adults. Quiet location with local amenities a short drive away. Hot tub is a nice addition for a bit of R&R after a day out walking. Beds extremely comfortable: coming from my Mrs that really is a compliment!
