If you're looking for a stylish country retreat with fabulous walking from the doorstep, this property is just the ticket. And for those who like to keep one foot on urban ground, cosmopolitan Harrogate is under 10 miles away.

Step inside the cottage to find a well-proportioned open-plan living space home to a lounge, dining and kitchen area. With a nod to the traditional, a beautiful stone fireplace plays host to a cosy wood burner. The cottage is heated from the wood burner and is controlled by a thermostat. All wood is provided for you, so get the fire roaring, pour yourself a glass of red and enjoy. There are additional electric heaters if required and hot water is available constantly from a separate system.

Entertainment is provided by way of a large Sky TV on the wall. Wi-Fi is provided too if you need to catch up online. Take your pick from the comfy sofa or the handsome armchair and settle down to a movie. The well-equipped kitchen is just around the corner and makes great use of the space. The attractive unit's stock all the equipment you'll need to rustle up a romantic meal for two. You'll arrive to a welcome hamper which includes Yorkshire goodies.   For your own supplies, there is a fridge and separate freezer. A washer/dryer is also provided - handy for those muddy walking trousers after a hike across the hills. The generous dining area sits beside two French dressers and is the perfect spot for long lazy breakfasts over the morning papers. No need to rush today...

The separate bedroom is set at the rear of the cottage, another contemporary room with bags of character and style. A king-size bed offers space to stretch out and an additional Sky TV in here means you can chill in your pyjamas watching your favourite shows. And when you decide to get ready for the day, mosey on into the fabulous wet room. It has a luxurious feel in here with its elegant tiles and huge monsoon shower.

Make your way outside to discover a split decking area, completely private with your own hot tub to relax in after a long day exploring, a patio table and chairs where you can enjoy al fresco eating,  the views from here are just amazing, so sit back and enjoy . A BBQ is also available on request.

Set in private grounds within a larger 100-acre private Yorkshire estate, the cottage enjoys a stunning elevated position overlooking the Washburn Valley in Nidderdale. In addition to the decking, there are miles of moorland and woodland walks right from the doorstep taking in some spectacular local scenery. This area is particularly well known for its reservoirs and you can see several from the headlands surrounding the house.

The area is a haven for walkers who can explore the local estate and beyond without having to jump in the car. It's equally good for cycling enthusiasts, with miles of challenging road and off-road routes nearby. The Estate is happy to arrange for cycles during your stay if you are unable to bring your own.

And if you like to keep one foot on urban ground, head down into Ilkley (8 miles) for the day. Highly regarded for its stylish architecture and beautiful floral displays, there's plenty to see and do in this elegant Victorian town. Take a turn around the gardens down by the river, indulge in afternoon tea at Betty's, explore the many independent shops and boutiques, making sure you pick up something delicious for tea and the several up-market delis in town. And for the nights when cooking seems like too much effort, book dinner in one of the highly regarded restaurants. Nearby Otley is also a charming Yorkshire town and Chevin Forest Park is a great place to blow off some steam.

Venture across to nearby Pateley Bridge (12.5 miles), a charming little market town very typical of this area of Yorkshire. The Main Street is peppered with cafes, restaurants, local stores, quality butchers and a fantastic wine shop - everything you need to stock up for your stay. You'll also find the self-proclaimed 'Oldest Sweet Shop in England' here, dating back to the early 1800s - little has changed inside since then.

The cottage is also just 10 miles from the cosmopolitan spa town of Harrogate, a must during any visit to this area. Encircled by its famous 'Stray' or '1,000 acres' of horseshoe-shaped grassland, Harrogate has a bright and breezy open-air feel and is characterised by its impressive floral displays. And as you would expect of such a bustling upbeat town, Harrogate boasts over 300 bars and restaurants together with all the shops, swimming pools, cinemas, parks and gardens you could ever wish for. Don't leave without indulging in a Fat Rascal and cup of Yorkshire Tea at Betty's!

And if you want to explore Yorkshire's cities, Leeds is 17.5 miles away and is packed with designer shops, cafes and top-notch restaurants. Other nearby attractions include Harewood House (14.5 miles), Bolton Abbey (9.5 miles) and the RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr (8.5 miles). There is just so much to see and do here!
