There are plenty of local attractions and stunning natural sights within easy driving distance, including the Coldstones Cut, 7.5 miles away. This is a huge sculpture with an array of platforms from which visitors can view the spectacular quarry hole and limestone quarrying operation below, as well as the Nidderdale surroundings.

Visit the cathedral town of Ripon, 16 miles away, with its castle overlooking the town below. Take a spa day or have a massage at the Turkish baths in the cosmopolitan town of Harrogate, 19 miles from the cottage, timing your visit with the Great Yorkshire Show, where local farmers and craft-makers showcase their way of life and their produce. Our stay in Dalesview Cottage was fantastic! The hosts thought of everything you could need for your stay. Even down to the little touch of the welcome pack on the kitchen table (the fresh eggs were VERY nice!) The property was very spacious and extremely clean. And the surroundings? Just WOW! I would highly recommend this property to any of our frRead moreiends. And, hopefully, we will return in the near future. Hide

We had a really pleasant stay at Dalesview Cottage. We met Kirsty on arrival and she told us of different places to go around the area where we could take dogs. They thought of everything in the cottage with a welcome pack of essentials, but what made a nicer is that they thought of our dog as well with treats, dog bowls and towels. Lovely cottage and very well kept. It is clean and tidy and perfect to explore the local areas. The stairs were a little slippy but we just took care. Maggie was comfortable downstairs and plenty of room for her bed. We had food from the local town and also explored further afield. Lovely walks from the cottage and perfect for the dog with an encloRead moresed garden. Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'Daleview', and meeting the owners too. Perfect location in attractive and quiet Nidderdale, ideal for a restful break or walks, and much to discover in the Dales. Picturesque Pately Bridge down the road. Thank you for the nice personal touches. Couldn't ask for more with the well-equipped cottage, other than a lonRead moreger holiday! Hide
