Right on the southern edge of North York Moors National Park, this stunning barn conversion is a fantastic place to stay for a family or small group of friends. Set in the quaint village of Middleton, which has its own medieval church, while the market town of Pickering is a 1.5-mile walk away. There, guests will find a range of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough are both within 25 miles.

The property itself has been attractively redeveloped with a large open-plan family room that includes the kitchen, dining room and living room. Roof lights let plenty of natural light into the space. The open-plan living area has bi-fold doors that lead out to the garden - allowing even more light to flood into the property. For the times that guests want to relax somewhere a little quieter, the property also has its own snug which has a wood burner and TV. There is also a family bathroom and a study, which can be used as a single bedroom, thanks to a small fold-down bed. The ground floor also has a wet room and utility room, which, along with the snug, are separated from the rest of the ground floor by a sliding door. The other two bedrooms are on opposing sides of the property. One king-size bedroom with its own dressing area is on the north side at the top of the stunning glass and walnut staircase, while the twin bedroom (zip n link beds can be super king size on request), on the south side, is part of the property’s mezzanine and looks out across the original beams over the living room. 

Outside are two pretty gardens. Both are enclosed by walls. One is a pebbled courtyard with a patio that can be used for al fresco dinners. On the other side of the property is an enclosed garden with its own BBQ where it’s possible to catch the setting sun in the summer.
