Based just off the main street in the pretty village of Middleton, to the rear of Middelton Hall, this quaint cottage is an ideal bolthole for families or a small group of friends. Set on the southern edge of North York Moors National Park, the house is a fantastic base to explore the wider area. The market town of Pickering is just 1.5 miles away where there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. It’s also where the North Yorkshire Moors Railway starts. The town of Helmsley is 9 miles away, where you can visit picturesque Nunnington Hall, while the famous seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough are within 25 miles.
Inside the cottage, the living room has views out into the garden, a wood burner and a traditional flagstone floor. The dining room is spacious and bright thanks to a set of French doors which open out onto the cottage’s garden. The kitchen is also on the ground floor and has everything you need for an enjoyable self-catering holiday. The downstairs cloakroom has its own WC and is perfect for tidying away muddy walking boots and coats after a day out enjoying the local scenery. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and built-in wardrobe. In the second bedroom there are two single beds (zip n link beds can be super king size on request).
The cottage’s garden is enclosed with outdoor furniture for al fresco meals. There is a patio just outside the house’s French doors - perfect for relaxing and enjoying the grounds.
