This apartment is sophisticated, luxurious and one of the most desirable holiday homes in town. It is perfectly located to be able to enjoy everything that the gorgeous Victorian spa town of Harrogate has to offer.

Welcome to this exceptional two-bedroom luxury holiday apartment just 2 miles from central Harrogate. Set on the top floor of a stunning Victorian house in the leafy Duchy suburb, it is one of the most desirable holiday homes in town.

It's little wonder that the gorgeous Victorian Spa town of Harrogate has lots of accommodation on offer for travellers and tourists of every generation. But we think none have the wow factor of this property. Stylish understated interiors with Shoreditch-inspired design, vintage furniture and original artwork, it also boasts a jaw-dropping balcony and exquisite attention to detail. This is a sophisticated holiday home designed to offer you the ultimate in comfort and entertainment.

Stepping into the large living area you are immediately drawn towards the panoramic views from the room-length balcony. It's a gorgeous spot for breakfast in the morning and a relaxed sundowner each evening, with lovely views out over the garden and beyond. The rest of this spacious and bright room is divided into a dining area and living space. There is a Smart LCD TV as well as an Apple TV, an iPod dock and Wi-Fi for your entertainment. And those of you who love the traditional sound of vinyl are in for a treat; there's a record player with several records to enjoy too.

Across the hall, you'll find the contemporary kitchen with its double aspect windows and clean white look. You'll have everything you need to cook up a storm in here and all mod cons are included; washer/dryer, dishwasher, induction hob and fridge-freezer.

There are two generous bedrooms in this luxury Harrogate apartment. The master bedroom features a king-size bed dressed in the finest 400-thread count cotton. There's lots of room in here and elegant built-in wardrobes too. The en-suite bathroom has underfloor heating and a large walk-in shower with WC.

The second bedroom can be set up as a super-king or a twin room as required. We love the bright accents in here giving the room a Smart modern appeal. The family bathroom is next door, echoing the same clean contemporary style. There is a separate walk-in shower in here, so both bedrooms enjoy access to their own shower. And if you enjoy a nice long soak in the evenings, or if you need to give the kids a good scrub, there's also a bath.

Outside, there are large and very pretty communal gardens to enjoy, which you may have all to yourself on occasion. The quiet and charming suburb of Duchy is a very pleasant backdrop to dinner alfresco or a picnic on the lawn. Importantly for Harrogate, there is ample private off-road parking for up to two cars.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

The apartment is set down a quiet leafy suburb in the grand Victorian Spa town of Harrogate. Regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK, Harrogate is a truly gorgeous Yorkshire town which combines traditional elegance with contemporary style effortlessly. And the Duchy suburb is well known as being one of the most desirable postcodes in town.

The property is just a short and very pleasant 2-mile walk away from the centre of town. A walk that takes you down through the famous Valley Gardens, highly regarded for its stunning flower displays and beautiful landscapes.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter. If buying old paintings and furniture isn't your bag there are a host of other reasons to part with your cash in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Betty's Tearooms is a must and if you have time we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Rejuvenate spirit and soul after a day on the town. If you're travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor space with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere. The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr are also a fantastic option for families.

The apartment is also very close to the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors so makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. The breathtaking Nidderdale is 15 miles away and heading south-west you will be driving through some of the most dramatic Dales scenery. We highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley (18 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey - all just a short drive away.

York is within easy reach (23 miles) and a day-trip to this beautiful medieval city is well worth it. So there is lots of choice, if you can drag yourself away from this beautiful apartment!

The Penthouse was a very agreeable place to stay and in an excellent location. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable. The living room was ok, not particularly luxurious but functional. The kitchen also was functional though with fairly basic equipment. The two parking spaces at the rear were under trees and only one was really useable.
