Christina Brion – Managing Director
Originally from Northern Ireland, Christina moved to Yorkshire many moons ago as an English undergraduate at Leeds University. Inspired by the stunning landscapes of Yorkshire and with a love of all things luxury, she launched Gorgeous Cottages in 2012 with just a handful of cottages and a desire to do something different. As well as the business, Christina is kept busy by her two young daughters Poppy & Florence. Find out more about Christina here.
Phil Brion – Operations Director
Phil joined the team in 2017, coming on board as Operations Director. Yorkshire born and bred, Phil is responsible for maintaining our close owner relationships and ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible for our guests. When he’s not in the office or looking after the kids, Phil can be found cycling across Yorkshire or sampling a local ale or two.
Marion Burns – Booking Manager
If you’ve booked with us over the last few years, chances are you’ll have spoken to Marion our Bookings Manager. Marion is a bubbly larger-than-life character who enjoys nothing more than a chat and a giggle with our Guests. Mother to 3 grown up boys, Marion is also a Foster Carer, dog-lover (particularly Great Danes) and all round good egg! Here she is having a little cuddle with one of the wallabies at Thorp Perrow…
Mark Davis – Photographer
Mark has been working with Gorgeous Cottages almost since our launch and has been the width and breadth of Yorkshire for us. Recently featured alongside Michael Portillo in the BBC’s Great Railway Journeys, Mark is an Author, historian and award-winning photographer with a fascination for the lost world of Victorian Britain. He does an amazing job with our properties and we’re thrilled to have him in the team.
Louise Brion – Booking Agent
It was a pleasure to welcome Louise into our Gorgeous family. Working towards an Accountancy qualification in her spare time, Louise is our super-bright youngster who does a sterling job of looking after our guests.
Julie Jones – Business Development Manager
Once Manager of a High Street Bank, Julie is responsible for getting out and about to meet with Owners and other Yorkshire businesses across the region. Having spent almost a year down in Cornwall we’re delighted Julie decided to return to her roots up North. Sharing a passion for Yorkshire and as a great believer in ‘doing things right’ Julie is the perfect fit for our Gorgeous team.
Julie Smith – Marketing Manager
Yes I know it is confusing having two Julies on the team but Julie Smith has worked in Marketing for more years than she would care to remember and now looks after the Gorgeous Cottages Social Media, Newsletters and Blogs. She loves a trip to the Yorkshire Coast (particularly when it is sunny) and is pictured here relaxing at The Potting Shed.
Maureen Ovington, Booking Agent
Maureen is a former Gorgeous Cottages guest who loved staying in our cottages so much that she decided to join the team! Maureen’s last cottage holiday was to The Hay Barn with a group of friends and she loves walking, dining at Yorkshire restaurants and relaxing in a hot tub (don’t we all)!
