Self-catering holiday accommodation in Hampsthwaite

Hampsthwaite is a lovely North Yorkshire Village 5 miles from Harrogate. Tucked deep into a designated conservation area, the outlying surrounds are considered an ‘area of great landscape value’. Centring around the Memorial Hall, which shows a programme of events as well as being home to the excellent Hampsthwaite Picture House. The sense of community is strong in the village, locals have even got together to edit a local book about the village, ‘A History of Hampsthwaite’. A local pub, The Joiners’ Arms, welcomes visitors to the area and there’s a number of handy shops and facilities in the village, so you won’t have to travel too far to restock.

We have some lovely luxury homes in Hampsthwaite for you to choose from. Being close to Harrogate puts several fun and interesting places to visit within easy reach. Harrogate is well-known for its conference centres, so be sure to see if there’s a public convention that interests you on its upcoming programme of events. The city is home to some excellent restaurants and pubs too – be sure to investigate the avant-garde neighbourhood of Cold Bath Road for galleries, cafes, antiques, books and curiosities. The town truly comes alive when the Yorkshire Show is in full throng, one of the best showcases of rural life in the UK, it draws in thousands of festival goers. Harrogate is also home to the Royal Pump Room Museum and a Turkish Baths and Health Spa. Slightly further afield is the iconic Ripon Castle, a true winner for fort baggers, it commands excellent views.
