Self-catering holiday accommodation in High Birstwith

High Birstwith is an attractive hamlet close to the village of Birstwith and the River Nidd. Deep in Nidderdale, you can walk along a 1-mile mill race that provided water for Birstwith Mill. The mill wheel no longer exists but the foundry is still in full operation to a food manufacturer. You can also take in the river views at the packhorse bridge. Handy amenities in the town include a welcoming pub, the Station Hotel, where you can enjoy a local ale. High Birstwith is close to Harrogate, the largest town in the area. Allow our collection of luxury homes in High Birstwith to inspire your next holiday.

Famous for its conference centres, the Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) and the Great Yorkshire Showgrounds (YEC), be sure to check their event schedules before your visit.  Harrogate was a spa town in its Victorian heyday, and you can still seek out working elements from that period all around - visit the Royal Pump Room Museum and the Turkish Baths and Health Spa. There’s also a lovely park in the town known as The Stray which is a lovely wild area to unwind and take a refreshing walk. Harrogate hosts a very good array of shops, both independent and established chains. Bright flowers brighten up the town and it’s well-loved by visiting gardeners for the shows that take place. Head to Cold Bath Road for interesting cafes, restaurants, galleries and a little something different.
